What Bands/Artists Do You Hate?

Alot of worthy nominations in this thread! I agree with most entirely (except Muse I must say )

But my worst bands/musicians are:

Take That
Razorlight
Oasis
Coldplay
Tinie Tempa
Plan B
x-factor contenders
the music in car adverts - that upbeat plinky plonky stuff with a girl singing usually with an awful accent

and most stuff in the charts right now ESPECIALLY Brit-hop. Or whatever its called (basically Hip-hop with rapping in a horrendous British accent! See Tinie Tempa)

To be honest, I really can be bothered to learn all the names of the bands/musicians I don't cause, for obvious reasons, I don't like them.

I tried listening to Tinie Tempah once.

...Yeah, it didn't really work for me. At all.

Scouting for Girls can always fit in there, right next to The Fratellis.

Horses for courses I'd say. I'm not into most pop music, however if I'm legless in a nightclub or bar then there is nothing better than a good ol' bit of pop. After a few beers anyones got more swagger than Jesse J!

However, the one artist that my radio gets turned off for is Phil Collins and that horrendous song 'I believe I can fly'. It pains me to even type the name of that song.

Don't be quick to diss ALL Phil Collins, 'Face Value' is excellent.

However, a newer Phil song came on in Canadian Tire yesterday, and it made me feel sick...

I was once on holiday in asia and the hotel had a local band who played covers of 'pop' songs. They had to learn the lyrics by listening to the rcord. They couldn't have had access to lyrics or tab......not the way they played. Anyway, they were bloody funny in an unintentional way.
I Believe I Can Fly' came out as 'A Bewee Aka Fie'. In this household it's been known as that ever since.

Rihanna - I really, really, really LOATHE that woman. How dare she sing songs about S & M and about whether or not her boyfriend is 'big enough to get it up'. Her market is aimed at teenagers and, although I'm not a prude, this is just offensive and completely unacceptable. She should be ashamed at herself.

I learned rather recently that I can't stand Bright Eyes. D:

Jay-Z/P Diddy etc
Saturdays/Girls Aloud/Boyzone/Westlife/Spice Girls/JLS etc

Guns 'N' Roses
My Chemical Romance
Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Feeling & Scouting For Girls have to be my most 2 hated bands. Throw in any of the rubbish that Cowell churns out and you've pretty much got everything that I hate about music. Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand can't escape without a mention.

Ooops, just realised that I'd already answered this on page 4. Ah well, at least this gives me the oportunity to add, Elvis Presley. Can't stand him!

Awww, but I like Franz Ferdinand. D: I like Kaiser Chiefs, too, but I'm kinda mad at them right now because "The Future is Medieval" is a terrible album.

I read a review that said 'The Future Is Medieval' was like an XTC album. I love XTC so checked it out. How wrong can a journalist be? Lazy journalism rears it's ugly head once again.

I try not to use the hate word too much, take the whole goth/emo thing:- let's face it, the music's fairly dire but at least it has the kids away from X-Factor and the way they stick to the clothes / fashion thing has to be commended.

I don't like "extermes" in music, i.e REALLY heavy metal, or hardcore happycore dance stuff

As for when i do use the hate word ?? LENNY FUCKIN KRAVITZ, makes my skin crawl every time i hear the opening cords to "are you gonna ......"

Pitbull and all the mainstream crappy artists who've got no talent at all.

Limp Bizkit is probably one of the worst bands ever and the frontman is such a douche. Nu-Metal is a crappy genre... (except for Hybrid Theory)

I hate Shlager too, a lot of people here in Belgium seem to like it though, don't ask me why :p

Two Chris's: Chris De Burgh and Chris Rea should both be put out to pasture far, far away where they can regail each other with tales of being at their commercial peak during the 80s (even tho they were thoroughly shite then too)

^ I'll take the liberty of adding a third Chris: Chris Rene, finalist of Season 1 of the US Version of "The X-Factor." What a joke.

(On a side note, Season 2 of this starts tomorrow. Britney Spears is now a judge. Lord help us all.)
