Hello! I think I am the 101th member of this forum - not sure if that's a good or bad thing. But having read that some of you have other halves that aren't Elbow fans, here's a word of help. Mine wasn't too keen either until I dragged him to the Nottingham gig this year and the sheer power of the fine musician-ship and Guy's general banter got him into it so much he was even singing along and waving his arms around by the end. Bless 'em.

First saw Elbow supporting New Order doing an acoustic set in Liverpool (July 18 2001).
Thought they were good, even though I didn't like the album. (It's still not my favourite - sorry.)

I can't wait to see Elbow again down at Glastonbury ("The BEST party in the world" - Guy Garvey). It's going to be a tight squeeze in the Queens Head though.

I'm looking for a recording of the Dermot O'Leary which I missed. Did anyone get a rip of it?

Hi, my name's Stefan. Been a massive Elbow fan for years; ever since I first heard Newborn playing in a record shop and immediately bought the EP! I'm listed among the 'Cast of Thousands', have Seen them many times in concert, all over the world, and was even lucky to sing in the choir of 'Geoffs' at the recent Meltdown show at the Royal Festival Hall.

hi I'm Dirk from Belgium, I got acquainted with the music of Elbow when they released their 'Asleep in the back' album for the first time (not the reissue version) and saw them live at the Ancienne Belgique club in Brussels for about 100 people. From that moment on I've been sold.
Clever songwriting, amazing soundproduction, inventive twist and just a great live band. Don't know how friendly the musicians are but they look sincere and natural. Not that it matters really but I always get a good feeling when seeing Elbow live in action...

Hi all, I'm Elizabeth from California. I'm very glad to have found this place! I first found out about Elbow in early 2001, so inbetween the releases of the Any Day Now ep and the Red singles. I came across a mention of them in Mojo and motivated to check them out. I subsequently went through a massive obsession of them (that I'm still in the midst of) and feel they are one of the most amazing bands ever. I was finally able to see them live for the first time when they did a North American tour in 2001 opening for Goldfrapp, and the last time I saw them live was back in April of this year. They just keep on getting better!

Hello, I'm Lorraine from Cumbria. To give him his due credit, my other half Dave bought AITB when it came out in 2001. I've been a fan in 'my own right' since COT and I can't hear Fugitive Motel without picturing our honeymoon road trip around the USA's South-West, as it was the soundtrack to it all. We only saw the lads live at Delamere the other week, which was of course amazing, so today we've booked again for the October dates!
