Aphex Twin - Actium

Ooh Actium is great, one of my favourites from that record.

I just had Floyd doing Yet Another Movie live, now I have Utopia by Goldfrapp, next I got No More Mosquitoes by Fout Tet.

The imogen heap song at the end of Garden State... i really love it, but forget about it, untill i watch the film, the same thing happens every time!

Been listening to the Santogold vs Diplo mixtape for the last couple of weeks - musically about as far away as you can get from Elbow, but I know a couple of you have namechecked Santogold in the past, so if you haven't got it yet, get it now! (google it, it's on zshare/divshare I think)

The whole mixtape thing is a bit of a mystery to me...!

Me too, really... as far as I can make out it's a sort of promotional tool for Santogold and Diplo, with their own tracks, remixes and cover versions interspersed with some other stuff (I heard the B52s and Desmond Dekker in the mix).

It's very good indeed... highlight for me was a cover of The Clash's "Guns of Brixton" (renamed "Guns of Brooklyn"). Unfortunately it's only available on zshare, which seems to have been blocked by certain UK ISPs - let me know if you get it!

It is a wicked album. Blood Sugar Sex Magik AND TSSK! I listened to TSSK yesterday in my front room yesterday, no distractions, it was awesome.

At the moment, I'm nearing the end of Yes's Tales from Topographic Oceans. What a mystification...

I have to admit, regardless of weather or not i liked the band, the finest hour would still be the best thing on the radio!

But I do prefer 'What's The Story? Morning Glory' to DM
