| Since I'm reading a Pink Floyd biography I got for Xmas, I've whacked on 'Wish You Were Here'. I seriously overdid it with this album a few years ago... but halfway through Welcome to the Machine I think it's fair to say I'm in love again.

| Finally got Jesca Hoop's Acoustic EP... god it's good. Murder of Birds is a wonderful song, Guy's presence just adding to the already copious levels of warmth. Ahhh. | |

| What: "Death" & "To Lose My Life" Who: White Lies Where From: Singles Why: Massively over-hyped for sure, and certainly derivative, but if you like that Editors/Interpol/Glasvegas vibe (ignore the Joy Division comparisons - the IS NO comparison!) then this lot should hit the spot. IMO they have a cleaner, more agile sound than Editors and Glasvegas (whose album disapponted me TBH) and I am enjoying these 2 songs a lot. I also get the feeling that they are not quite taking the whole gloomy death obsessed thing totally seriously, which I quite like too. You can check the songs out on YouTube, Death: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LTh9IuSTOY0To Lose My Life: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=l3P4MAwdBtI | |
