| Haha, it makes me laugh now - my appalling singing, the way the camera bumps up and down as I was dancing and the nasal cavity shot of Guy after I realise that I've been filming his midriff.
Have to say though, it's one of the best Elbow gigs I've ever been to, so I'm very glad I have a small reminder of it. I'm sure I read Guy saying somewhere that Sheffield was one of the best crowds of the April 2008 tour.

He kissed my hand during ODLT in Llandudno. A lovely moment and must've been powerful too - the ring on my little finger on that hand snapped out of the blue on the way out to the car park... LOL, that is so weird that your ring snapped shortly after he kissed it! OK, memo to me, must not wear any jewelry to Elbow gigs... I've never seen the "famous walking stick" appearance, anyone have a photo?

| Theres photos and videos, with stick.... 'My Very Best' and 'Puncture Repair' 2005, I think are 2 videos, at least, on Ning fansite, any photos from autumn 2005 would have it. The injury occurred just before, they did dates in USA, So he first appeared with it with Elbow over there. For the autumn tour 2005 in UK, Guy leaned on the stick on stage througout those dates, finally getting rid of it on the last date at Brixton Academy when he threw it to the crowd at the end. Someone nearish to me got it...do they have it still...

| Wouldn't it be great to have a Guy Garvey stuffed doll? And when you squeezed his tummy he'd say things like "Mantra Luna!" and "Everyone still OK?" Or is that weird? | |

| Aye, I loved that "leaned on you today" quip . The stories of how he injured it varied depending on the story he told at the time... at that Kloot gig (just after it happened) it was while heroically helping an old lady across the road or something like that... That was October 2005, the USA Elbow gigs were early November, here's a pic (not mine) from NYC: My pics (Manchester Apollo, 23.11.05) weren't quite as good, as you can see... Has the lucky person who got the stick when he chucked it into the audience ever come forward I wonder...?

When i saw them in Bristol Garve kept saying he'd explain the stick after the next song, he never did, he went so far to say I Am Kloot were involved. I think he got drunk and fell off the front of the stage! - sundaygirl wrote:

| I love this idea, I'd want a full set complete with instruments. If there was one of me it would definately say 'I cant be arsed' and 'sorry'. | |
