Ah, yes...so I did...

I had what turned out to be a sort of funny staring game with Guy once, a few years ago.
It was after the DVD preview showing of LOTFW. It was at the National Film Theatre on the South Bank. Elbow were DJing after, and Guy had just danced to 'Just a Gigolo' with a girl friend and I was sitting over the other side of the room near the bar.
He then walked directly across the room towards me, and as I had just been watching the dancing I was still looking at him, so our eyes stayed locked as he came towards me, he got right up to me and neither of us had looked away or blinked, and he had to look away first, as he took the empty chair that was right next to me and swivelled it round, back to me, to sit and talk with two pretty girls that were on the next table.
I carried on sitting there on my own while his back to me, till Bright Grey came and got me to join them as he had been talking with Craig.

It was how close have I been to his back moment, rather than tummy. lol.

he pointed and waved at me during ODLT once. very nice of him. I got it on camera as i was recording the whole song. but youtube is failing me and dont want to upload it.

Hmm...should I really show you MY Guy-moments...I don't want to make you jealous, especially after the Berlin thing...
But this moment was so wonderful back in December 2005...helped me a lot to get through my first big stem cell chemo...

Wow nice piccie, you were close. Where did you seem 'em? Yeah they do seem like a lovely, if a little spaced out, group of guys. Got their new album yesterday, the deluxe addition which cost me £15.99! Me and my best mate are seeing them at Southampton, looks like I won't be going college the next day

They played HMV Manchester - a mini set (Vlad the Implaler, Underdog, Where did all the love go, Empire, Fire - absolutely stellar!) then a signing. I bought the delux edition too and they signed that, plus I had each of them sign the drawing of them in the Empire CD slip cover. They were SO NICE! I'm seeing them at the Academy and I can't wait! LOL, spaced out is right. I love listening to interviews with Serge and Tom - they are a bit like spaced-out versions of Heckle and Jeckle.

Woo, very lucky. I wouldn't know what to do or say if I met them at a signing or otherwise I love Serge's voice too, it's kinda slurred and dreamy, and Tom just says mega a lot.

I didn't say much, but when Serge asked how I liked it I told him they were great and then I said how I loved the new album, that I thought it was brilliant, and he seemed genuinely pleased and grabbed my hand and said thanks. And then I went to Chris and he said "Alright darlin'?" Lovely time.
