| Great video clip James. That claw setup is pretty wild... Nice to see everyone waving along with the chorus! | |

| Wow, didn't they look so very tiny and distant in that clip! They still had a great sound for being in that massive stadium. | |

| Jolly good in Sheffield last night. Bloody enormous stage, I don't know if Pete could see Mark he was that far away! Guy worked the crowd in the usual festival fashion and got sing alongs for Grounds and One Day. Set list as posted for Wembley. I, er, pretended that it was an Elbow gig so danced and sung as normal and got a few strange looks from the surrounding U2 fans. I even shouted "Mantra Luna" for Mirrorball and got "Oh God she's off" from my U2 fan friends that I'd gone with. Unfortunately their overall reaction was lukewarm, so I don't think any new fans there. We got there early enough to be inside the catwalk and actually I was in my usual position in front of Craig, but a few rows back. Complete fluke because my friends were choosing the spot. It also meant we were right in front of Edge when U2 came on. I have to say U2 were damn impressive, they certainly know how to put on a stadium show. I was slightly sceptical beforehand but had a whale of a time, even though the last U2 album I bought was Achtung Baby so I'm not really up to date with any of their stuff apart from the singles. | |

| WOW! They do look a little lost on a stage that big! They look chuffed as hell though! | |

| Sorry - left a post on another U2/Elbow forum about the Sheffield. Know someone who went and said the crowd around her were terrible whilst Elbow were on.
Looks like the crowd closer were OK. | |

| Had a wonderful time in Sheffield! I'm a big U2 fan and haven't missed a U2 tour since The Joshua Tree Tour in 1987. Elbow were fantastic as usual, if a little lost on that big stage. However, I imagine it would be the same for U2 if they had to play in full daylight without the benefit of all the amazing light effects etc. Looking around during the Elbow set I could see some parts of the audience really enjoying it, some parts looking quite interested and other parts who were totally oblivious. I think this is very much par for the course on these occasions but hopefully we've gained another couple of fans! | |
