Ummm, I meant Sheffield. LOL be funny if I went to the wrong city! "Hey, where is everyone?"

| It's nice to see that Elbow get a full hour as support! Most supports I've seen have been less than that, I think. Usually 30-45 mins. | |

| Yeah I was happy about that too. Though, ideally I'd like it to be 18:00 - 20:00.
Oh well.... | |

| Just got back from Dublin, it was an amazing show, really can't wait for Sheffield now. The first band (The Republic of Loose) came on at about 18.25 till 18.55. The Kaiser Chiefs played from 19.15 till 20.00. U2 played from 20.45 till 23.00. We got to the Stadium at about 16.30 and managed to get a really good spot, about 6 rows back from the catwalk. I think most of the hardcore U2 fans queue up hours earlier to get a spot inside the catwalk, but the stage and screens are that huge, it was perfect where we were. P.S. its really loud! | |

| Well I had to give up my ticket for tonight due to health problems (nowt serious!) and it appears that I've missed a stormer! Mate has just sent me a text saying the Elboys were superb and went down great with the U2 audience. Sent this pic, taken during Tower Crane Driver | |

| Oh come on.... U2 aren't THAT bad. They appear to be one of the most successful bands in the world. And when Bono doesn't talk politics all the time they are a pretty damn good Rockband! I would have loved to see them (Elbow) in Berlin (support band - Snow patrol - who actually weren't that bad either). I hope that they've enjoyed it playing in a stadium (even if it's half filled at that time). ELBOW + U2 = Pic: http://twitpic.com/dvhquReading through the comments the sound wasn't the best, but the (U2) fans that wrote loved them. One comment: Bless Guy Garvey! Nothing more to say!

| Poor Miss EP was working in Brent Towers while Elbow were playing next door at Wembley Stadium. She opened all the windows and managed to hear Guy's vocals floating through the air, but it wasn't the same as being there | |

Starlings The Bones Of You Mirrorball Grounds For Divorce Station Approach The Loneliness Of A Towercrane Driver One Day Like This
There was a false start during Starlings, but Guy was on good form - "are you ok", "are you still ok?" etc
U2 were excellent, Bono didn't do too much pontification which was good, the set and stage set up was wonderful. The Hours were also superb.

| I was there on Friday and it was a great show! Was great to finally seeing them live, and agree it was a shame there wasn't much older material.. Loved One Day Like This, a great way for them to end their set. Here's my video of One Day Like This, also got a few of the U2 ones up there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzrIsQDgKJEI've also been lucky enough to meet the band twice and get my albums signed.. have got a pic with them will find the right place to upload it and will James | |
