| Bloody hell, it's 22 years since I last saw U2, on the Joshua Tree tour at Leeds and Edinburgh. How time flies! I got the tickets booked for Wembley today, should be a bit better than my previous five visits - As a long suffering Newcastle supporter, this is my Wembley history: Wins 0, Draws 0, Lost 5, for 1, against 11. | |

| Are the Bos suporting U2 at the 2nd Wembley gig? Normally wouldn't they have announced it on their site?
Anyone going?
I wonder if they will have special Elbow/U2 shirts/ stuff for sale at the shows? I don't normally partake, but might get one at the Sheffield show.

I don't think anyone really knows at the moment. The lack of announcement from Elbow suggests not.

| Are we getting two supports? The ticket site sys doors open at 4. My friend thinks they'll be two, llike there was at the Virtigo tour. If so, do you know who the other support band is? God, it's in August and I'm already giddy!!! | |

| Ugh!!! I'm going to Elbow/U2 with my mate and her sister. Both like The Bos, but not with the religious fervor that I do. They always leave for gigs at the last possible moment - get there when it's nice and packed, wait ages for drinks at the bar and then usually make it for the headline band literally just in the nick of time. That is exactly what happened with Moz Saturday. We were at the upstairs bar, and they kept flicking the lights on and off, and one said "huh, is that a power cut?" "Uh, I think it might mean Moz is on soon," says I. Nothing. 5 minutes later, lights flick o and off. "God they must be having electrical problems." "Uh, I think it might mean Moz is on now." "Oh, right, we better go down then." Moz comes on literally a minute later. When My friend and her sister went to see Maximo Park in Leeds they missed the beginning of the show cos there were road troubles and they got lost. Now I'm thinking, shit! What about Sheffield? I've dropped a couple of subtle hints that maybe we should head off early. "Ah, if we miss the first band who cares. We should get there in time for Elbow!" WHAT IS WRONG WITH GETTING THERE EARLY AND BEING SECURE THAT YOU ACTUALLY ARRIVE ON TIME????? And because they have my ticket and are driving me I am powerless!! I tell you though, if I miss Elbow I am NEVER speaking to either of them again!!!! AND I will TP their house!!! OK, that's all. | |

| Forget the subtle hints and tell them you're going early and making a day of it! What's wrong with having a coupla beers and burgers in the sunshine while listening to some music? Just SPELL IT OUT ! Maybe they just don't realise how much you want to see the support act? This is why I usually go on my own. I can decide for myself what I want to do and if that means looking like a complete lemon by turning up way too early, well, then so be it! | |

| Oh, they know how much I want to see Elbow. When they were deciding between Cardiff and Sheffield I said if you choose Cardiff don't get me a ticket cos I'd only go to see Elbow. They KNOW. I think they just don't get it and think that i'm being ungrateful and demanding! I would totally go by myself, but...how do I get back? I'd have to stay the night, get trains...and I know it would piss them off. I'd have to ask for my ticket...Goddamn it. I didn't shell out £61 just to hear U2's rubbish new tunes!!! Waaaaa! Me too! I love being there early, catch the support, and usually I really like them. But not them...no...must arrive 5 minutes before the show starts. GODDAMN IT! If I miss Elbow I will....I will...oooo, don't get me started. | |

| Oh, I could say that, as I've never been to Newcastle I'll want to head off early to have a chance to look around the city and we could meet up if they don't want to join me. That sounds reasonable... | |

| Always meet to the right of the mixing desk, that's my preferred meet spot.
Failing that, isn't this what mobile phones are REALLY useful for?
