| This is just a tiny thing, but is there anyway to get a 'mark all forums read' link at the bottom of the main page? What with Sarah and I constantly logging in and out, we've often read everything and my OCD self doesn't like seeing all those yellow squares! (Yes, I know, I could click into each section of the board and do it from there, but this is the INTERNET and I obviously don't have time for such things ) | |

- Hi,
Please feel free to add suggestions to this thread related to the forum. Can you help me Being a new Elbow fan but a big big Elbow fan - do fans meet up outside gigs at all? Is there a social side to ELBOW?

| Oh yes - if you find a thread relating to a gig you'll probably find out who's going and if we're all meeting up somewhere before hand. If not - start one! | |

| Help - any idea why I keep having to re-enter my password? It's like the site keeps logging me out automatically. Have just patiently typed in all my gigs into the "how many times have you seen them live" and it's lost them all! | |

| Do you have cookies enabled H, or have something set up to clear them regularly on your pooter? Must admit I'd been logged off automatically at midnight a couple of times, which is a swine when you've just typed something in before managing to post it

| No change whatsoever to my normal set-up - even stopped accepting my password a few minutes ago (it's on auto-complete in my browser, so I know it's not my typing!).
Wondering if I'm the only one, in which case it could be my laptop starting to go weird because the hard disk is almost full...

| Oooh, sounds a bit strange. Sure MT would be able to say if anything's going awry with logins. Hope your laptop's not fritzing out tho... | |

| Ta - tbh ever since I've got the new version of Safari it starts using up lots of resources if I open lots of tabs. Could be part of the same issue. I think I need to get all my photos and iTunes library off the hard drive.
Bloody computers! | |

Fair enough. I would suffer with any other browser now, since i've customised it so much.

| The main reason that it has gone is because the last thing that was posted in it was me saying "I think I might get rid of this because no-one uses it". I left that there for three months, and no-one said anything.
However, it's not gone, just not visible any more. If you click "Join the chat" it opens in a new window

| Where is this 'Join the chat' you speak of? I was wondering if there was a more obvious place to put these stickies, rather than Elbow Patch. The necessary ones like forum announcements/news and the welcome thread. Perhaps a separate News section at the top. Elbow Patch isn't the obvious place to look for these topics since they're not technically Elbow-related. I think that's why, for example, several new forum goers make their own welcome threads in The Hole, only to have them moved later on. | |

| Join the Chat is on the home page, at the bottom.
We used to have an announcements section, but it was considered unecessary so I pulled it. This seemed the best place for it because the forum is an elbow forum.
A news section wouldn't make much sense in this case because it would contain elbow related news and non-elbow related?
Anyway, more suggestions from other people in this vein would be useful, I'm happy to give the people what they want! Perhaps a poll on the subject?

| Ah I see, that's fair enough.
I for one would be in favour of having the announcements section back for the housekeeping stuff even if it isn't posted in very often, so it would be nicely separated from the Elbow band stuff and the newbies would know where to look.
