I seem to remember the announcements section was dropped after we realised that nobody ever looked in it. Plus there are only really 2 or 3 things that would fit in a section like that, those being the Introductions thread, the rules thread and the suggestions thread. I agree that it is slightly out of place putting the announcements in the Elbow Patch, but it's really the only place that it logically fits.

Can I suggest that we put the links back in white, rather than pale blue? I still find it distracting

Well since you guys already had that section and decided it wasn't working, I'll trust your judgement on that one!

I think the problem with the links was that if they are in white, you can't tell it's a link.

I'm with MT on this one, i keep missing embedded links because they're white!

Yeah, can I suggest a colour that's perhaps not a shade off white? Or is it possible to have them underlined or italic?

Can't change the font except the size and the colour...I could make links bigger, but I think that would look bad.

Will try a slightly less blue colour.

How about a "stickey" thread entitled "what rae you listening to .......", let us see everyone else's other tastes and maybe get turned onto something new ??

There is a thread already in existence in 'Other Bands' named 'Suggest Music You Love For Eveyone To Appreciate/Discover'

I don't see the need for an additional thread, plus both these threads are popular enough to stay hot.

A sticky would really be used for new visitors that needed information about something. The above threads are bumped frequently enough to not require sticky-ing.

I would love to read this on my mobile. But I think because of the font size and the color black?

I'll try and find some time to look into how the site looks on mobile, but since the site is so quiet these days it will be a low priority for me unfortunately
