I'm a bit disappointed to see this listed as a rule for the forum. Surely fan forums are the places where discussions about rare mp3s / live tracks / youtube vids / sharing music should be welcomed? If this was an official messageboard run by the record label then I'd understand this rule (although even the labels have taken a 'we can't beat them so we might as well find a way to join them' stance lately) but I'd really prefer a fan forum to be somewhere where we can embrace technology and all the possibilities it offers, and leave the legal stuff to the lawyers and bigwigs to sort out... | |

| The point of this rule is not about rare mp3's and such, as these items are discussed on here. It's more to prevent the promotion of sites which encourage piracy, the torrent sites and so on.
In other words, if a link to a rare b-side is posted then it will not be removed (unless Elbow management request that it is) but a link to a torrent file or torrent site will be.
