Hello all (again) its me Sparky's bro-in-law under a new guise!! (couldn't remember other one lol) Just watching elbow at the Abbey Road studios after me and sparky spent late last night emersing ourselves in the band (red wine a must), revisiting old classics and some other more "updated" stuff.............note to Sparky - Independant Woman will NEVER be the same again,(wicked) and the dance mix was proper Dirty............ so whilst watching Sparky's liberated DVD, I got the urge to visit the old place and catch up and here I am.

Getting proper excited for the new gig, roll on March!!!

Hi, guys. I'm Violet, and I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to Elbow.

I've actually known about them for a while now. I have all their studio albums. For whatever reason, on Friday, something suddenly clicked in my brain, and I thought, "Why in the world do I not listen to this band more?" Since then, I've been on an extreme Elbow binge, and after realizing through YouTube that they sound just as amazing live as they do in the studio (Specifically, it was a live version of "Switching Off." OMIGOD. <3), I'm convinced they're one of the best bands ever. I feel stupid for taking this long to realize that, but I suppose it's better late than never.

Anyway, if there's anything else anyone cares to know, feel free to ask.

Actually, it's not snowing in my part of Texas at the moment. :\ The weather says it's supposed to on Friday, though. We'll see what happens. Snow in my part of the state is a relatively rare occurrence.

Yeah. I saw Dallas on the TV earlier, and it was snowing. Good luck with that, I guess there ain't many snowplows
