I never do introductions but whatever... I've lurked around here on and off for a while but only now finally decided to register; I'm not particularly prolific on any messageboard I'm registered with.

Anyway I became a fan of Elbow in the first half of 2003 when a friend got me to download a bunch of songs by various artists, but which included Powder Blue and Newborn, and had me wondering how I'd managed to miss them previously. Moreso when having bought all 1 of their albums available at the time and started hunting down singles, I realised I'd seen Red on the Racks in Virgin when it was released but hadn't bought it as I had no idea what it sounded like.

First gig was the Cast of Thousands launch gig at the Scala, and onwards from there

A long-time lurker at the old powderblue forum, I'll probably do the same here
I first heard Elbow on Jools Holland when COT came out. They pretty soon became my favourite band and have remained so - because how many bands release two mighty, sincere, imaginative, emotive albums, let alone four?
