Hi, I just wanted to drop by and say hello.
My names Liz and im from Blackburn.

I came across Elbow over 7 years ago after listening to them on I think Steve Lamaq. I then saw them live for the first time at the Leeds Reading festival in I think 2001 and that was it, i fell in love with them....and especially Guy that very instant.
Really really chuffed that they won the Mercury Music Prize last night, and cant wait to see them again next month in Manchester

This seems like a nice cozy forum that I have stumbled upon.

I'm an old(ish) get who loves loads of different sorts of music including, of course, the lovely Elbow. To be honest I first heard Elbow when Asleep In The Back came out, but somehow didn't quite get into them until several years later. What an idiot, eh?

Favourite Elbow music? At the moment:
Starlings (the best start to an album ever?)
Station Approach
Great Expectations (Stockport supporters club kindly provided a choir, I just love that line, despite having no warm feelings towards Stockport FC at all)
Switching Off (Oh my God, doesn't half bring a lump to the throat)
Oh, and Independent Woman of course.

Other music I'm currently assaulting my lugholes with: Bjork, Easy Star All Stars, Goldfrapp, Neon Neon, The Smiths, St Etienne, Super Furries and loads of others.
