| David Sylvian - Gone to Earth - 1986.
Prompted by mentions of Fripp, this album contains some languid but at times incendiary guitar playing from the likes of Fripp and Bill Nelson, mixed with Sylvian's own distinctive style. The soundscapes do sound a bit dated at times (that bass is so 80's at times) but there is some lovely stuff here too - particularly the sublime "Wave" with Fripp's cascading guitar. Nice.

Sounds cool... and hey, I'm a sucker for anything with Fripp's thumbprint on it! We have King Tubby on in the living room.

| That darn purple song Gotta love a bit of Keane, Dab! Atlantic is an awesome song... Under the Iron Sea is a pretty awesome album come to think of it. I've got a random playlist going! Just had Shortly Before the End by OK Go, now Hidden Place by Bjork, next is... For Absent Friends, Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited version. | |

Prefer the original, but Firth of Fifth on that album is amazing!

| All the originals are of course better, but as you say, Firth of Fifth! And I'm quite partial to his version of Watcher of the Skies too. Very tasteful strings. This song ain't too bad either! Again with the tasteful strings | |
