| Wow, you lot all have great pets. I wish I had a dog, but I am allergic to them . Might get a labradoodle. | |

| How severe is your allergy to dogs?
I was allergic - but if it's just a slight allergy (sneezing, runny eyes etc...) it'll go away in time!
Just gotta hold on till it does! Unfortunately, mine has come back since I don't live with them anymore - but it won't put me off getting a dog in the future.

| Did have a lovely cat until recently, had to put the wee fella down. Just one of those things, unfortunatley.

| I think it's terrible when pets have to be put down. It always seems so sudden, like a member of the family has died. | |

| Yeah, they take up a big part of your life. Had him for 13years, so he had a decent run. Still debating whether to get a new one, | |

| Just got back: dead robin on front path, and what looks suspiciously like a dead pigeon in the back garden Little bastards. I'm trading them in for a dog. | |

| We have a little Robin who has occupied our garden for about a year now. He's always there. He (or maybe she? dunno if there is a difference in markings) is quite cocky and will come right up to you. | |

| Agree with you Mrs Trev that pigeons are vermin, however I live in the countryside, so it might have been a dove rather than a dirty chavvy townie pigeon! I don't actually know what the difference is, perhaps if Bill Oddie is reading he'd enllighten me, but whatever it was, it's missing a head...
Robins are great! When my mum-in-law's cat (the aforementioned Scrabble) died she adopted a robin called Bob that used to eat bird seed out of our hands.
And I really don't know what we've got nesting in our chimney at the moment but the buggers wake me up every morning at 5am... so I can't be too mad at our cats for their bird-murdering antics.
