| The Mr & Mrs MT power of inspiration is indeed to be revered as me and Mr W can testify. We met them in Oct last year and now I'm a sorcerer's apprentice. If we do have a meetup, mebbe we should all get a Mexican sombrero - or something - like a devoted fanbase version of a stag/hen party out for the night. I could make the lasses small mirrorball earrings seeing as I have lots of li'l ones from Christmas decs. Hmmmm.... | |

I'd love to see them play in their hometown though. Must be such a great atmosphere - I want you all front and centre singing along! Hey Al - If you're in the Bath area, I'm not far away (Newport). I could probably give you both a lift up and back again if you want (no charge of course). Either I could pick you up from Newport station or meet at some point near the Severn Bridge. It's all do-able.

| thought about it for all of 5 seconds, love Elbow hate the bloody M.E.N. corporate sanitization of music nah its a miss for me unfortunately, I saw The Arcade Fire there and although they played well it was as exciting as... well it was 'nt, it was average, like Starbucks, like Mc D, start at 7 30 out by 10 30, stupid money for programme, plastic beer etc etc, sorry to be an old grumpy bugger. | |

| Hey Bluey, we were at the AF gig. Did you sing along to the 'Wake Up' chants that everyone kept going as they trooped all the way through Victoria? That was a real top moment - ahhh. Anyway, it'd be nice to meet you for a bevy though! | |

| On a countdown now till Friday. Not being able to go to any other gigs this year has made this one a must for us. Pity it's at the MEN-a venue I find totally soulless and depressing. Only one thing for it-we will get there hours too early and queue to be at the front. Hope this isn't the end of smaller gigs though. | |

| I'm totally in 2 minds over an arena gig too, and hope they play some smaller venues in future (with pre-sales so we can actually get tickets) but if we get to the front I suppose you don't notice the rest of the venue (or non-intersted people in the audience) and I'm sure when it comes to Friday 9:00 I'll just be thinking of seeing Elbow not the huge soulless venue, and be in there buying tickets. Love the idea of sombreros & mirrorball earrings lol - though being a considerate soul we'd have to take the sombreros off when they started so the people behind could see. Shouldn't a pre-gig meet up be in the queue to make sure we get our front centre positions? | |

| Agree with most on here, when I saw the announcement, I didn't think, oh balls it's the MEN Arena, I just thought, hey ! another Elbow gig !! Been to a few gigs there but not for a long time, Oasis, Manics, Ian Brown, Charlatans, Happy Mondays to name but a few, in the main they turned out good, just depends on your vantage point. I reckon it'll be absolutely brilliant, just hope I can bag standing tickets. | |

| One of the best gigs I ever saw was Muse at the MEN.
I'd prefer to stand a bit further back tbh, the sound and visuals are usually better.

Great idea!!!! Sometimes at that pub, during big match games, you get hordes of football fans swilling beer and chanting football songs and generally making a racket....WE COULD DO THE SAME!!!! But with Elbow! In our hats and mirrorball earrings! Love it!! Oh, can't wait til Friday 9am!
