| Oh. We could get into debates about music snobbery and people wanting to keep bands for themselves, but I'd always kind of assumed the band would always play smaller venues just 'cos they're NICER. At least not arenas! Maybe its just a one off. Y'know, like how Wembley was...! | |

| That all said...I'm still going and I'm all giddy. Thank GOD...thank Elbow-fan GOD that it's not in June as I will be out of the country for a big chunk of it. Woo Hoo!!! Hey, those of you who missed out on Halle can still get to see them! My friend saw them at Wembley and siad their music really suited the larger venue. And, hey, it's Elbow. Of course it will be fantastic! | |

Maybe its just a one off. Y'know, like how Wembley was...! I know what you mean. im just worried that because its a Friday night, then its going to be like the BLackpool gig, full of knobs, pissed up chanting Manchester la la la and just spoiling it for everyone else. But im going to go coz I love Elbow sooo much.

| Yeah, I'd go if it wasn't term time and a friday and many, many miles away! Plus I tend to be a beacon to all the annoying people at arena gigs. They all just want to flock around me | |

Hahaha! Reminds me of seeing Snow Patrol at some godawful arena - they announced they were playing a song from their first album that was met with complete silence except for me and my friends screaming like mad women!

| Really hope there will be loads of old skool fans whio get the best tickets, ie. standing, but it's the price of fame, people who've got into them from TSSK will be out in droves, which is fair game also.
Just hope though they respect the old tunes.......remember in Blackpool bellowing out every word to Puncture Repair to looks of utter bewilderment from all around me.

| I just got the email and didn't read the 'visual arts' part of 'visual arts magicians'! Well I wouldn't normally pay that much for a gig but if there are magicians involved... | |

| Hahaha! Nah, neither me or Sarah would be able to get time off work, or even afford to get there. If we can't get to London, Manchester's pretty much out of the question!
I'd love to see them play in their hometown though. Must be such a great atmosphere - I want you all front and centre singing along!

Doesnt Guy look divine!!! I found it on the NME website a few weeks ago I think I sent a scan of the cutting of the original NME article to mrswoman to put on the fans Ning site archive. I guess the visual arts will be the souped up Soup collective videos on big screens like they did at Wembley Arena, so that even if you are a diddy ant miles away, you can still see the band on a screen. Even starring as giants! if you get to the front! How does the MEN compare to Wembley Arena? Anyone ever been to both? I've felt scared just walking on the road past it, lol.

I saw The Pogues at Webley AGES ago and thoguht the venue OK. MEN is bigger and I've only been there once (LOL! Elton John - we got cut-rate tickets through work. It actually wasn't bad!). And I didn't think the venue was that bad either. Not as big and souless as I thought it was going to be.
I will deffo deffo be front and Guy Garvey centre singing along shamelessly to all their songs!!

| Why do the tickets always go on sale 9am on Fridays. No computer access that morning boo!!! I'm sure they wont sell out by lunchtime but I always find that annoying.
Guess I had better get seating tickets I am planning on being with child by then!!!!

| Good old hubby rang me at work to tell me, I then spent all afternoon giddy with excitement. Stressed now though that I wont get a ticket-the computers going to crash or B.T will do something to the phone lines (bet their in on it with the postal workers ), oh and I'll have to take my son to school late so I'm home when they do go on sale. Oooooh cannot wait | |
