Apart from it taking a week to get there, it is actually a really nice venue.

Excellent! I'd heard of the Christopher Eccleston video but never got round to tracking it down or heard it - wonderful stuff!

I'm going to do Fretwell on the 15th and probably go to Johnny on the Saturday in Oxford*.
*It'll probably take just as long to get to Oxford as it will Putney anyway!

I think that is my new plan too. Next time, if they would be so kind to have a pint together and sort out their dates so none of them clash, would be lovely.

Saturday December 12 - James - Manchester vs Cancer.
But the pint idea is a good one.
If anyone wants two JHAB tickets for Oxford that night for the price of one, let me know

I Am Kloot are playing Night and Day on the 27th November to celebrate their 18th Birthday. Night and Day's birthday, not Kloot's....they are old buggers... http://www.ticketline.co.uk/artist/i-am-kloot

That I Am Kloot/John Bramwell play a Valentine's Day gig in Manchester is becoming as nailed on as local authorities running out of grit in a cold snap. This year, it's an I Am Kloot gig at Academy 3 (formerly Hop & Grape).
So, that's Sunday 14th February (for anybody who isn't sure when Valentine's Day is - I had to google it myself) and tickets are available from ticketline etc.

Where is Even the stars?!?! Apparently JHAB was saying they slowed it right down and obviously it didn't make the cut.
Proof - yes, need to have a think about that one. I can understand why they have done it if they're going to release it. Otherwise it's a confusing decision.

Really unusual they're touring before the release of the album. These are the only 3 dates though, no more to be released.
Saw them on Saturday in Macclesfield, Kloot recorded a cover of an Iggy Pop's 'Nightclubbing' for the Unconvention Factory. It was a day of seminars, workshops and general chats about the future of music and ways in which we can best try and generate awareness and success on a minimal budget using the myriad weird and wonderful tools the modern world has given us. It was a really good day, and I heard some very interesting things.
They also played a set that night, they sounded superb, as always.

Well summer is really festival time and Kloot aren't doing any festivals this year. Hence only 3 gigs at the moment. Summer is not a good time to tour.
Just trawled their website and can't see anything about 'only 3 dates though, no more to be released'.
I bet there'll be a full tour in the autumn. That'll give the album a couple of months to hopefully make an impact* (the 'open letter' on the Kloot home page makes very interesting reading) and then get better ticket sales.
* Remember TSSK was not an instant smash. It grew over a number of months and with Craig and Guy's production on the new Kloot album I bet they're hoping for something similar.

Oh yes I just meant for this round of the tour, not for the rest of the year. Of course there will be more dates, they're releasing an album!!
Kloot are doing Glastonbury, playing on the Queens Head Stage.

So they are. I'd forgotten that one but AFAIK that's all they're doing.

When I saw the previous message about how good it was I checked my e-mail to see when it was due out and saw 5th July but thought June, i.e. last week! Oh well, more time to enjoy looking forward to it.
