I should clarify - I don't want a romper suit to actually wear... not really in to that sort of thing. x)

In retrospect, I probably should have stopped at "Oh my gosh!!".

My name is Allyn Gibson. I don't use cool monikers online; I've been "myself" online for so long that it would be confusing to change. Also, I want people to find me; I'm a writer, with some short stories to my name, and hiding behind a handle wouldn't help that.

I've been an Elbow fan since 2004 when I bought Cast of Thousands. I thought it was the most amazing thing I'd heard in a long damn time.

I consider myself an Elbow evangelist. I push Elbow on all of my friends.

Elbow's music has a lot of personal meaning for me. "The Stops" and "Great Expectations" were friends of mine when a relationship soured. "Mirrorball" is an inspiration for a novel I am writing. I feel there's a very INFP-ness to Guy Garvey's lyrics. I feel that he writes songs for me.

I finally got to see Elbow live this past Tuesday at the 9:30 Club in DC. I'd decided, long ago, that I would probably never see Elbow in person. I did, and it was fantastic.

Wonderful band. My life is better for having heard them.

I'm James, 17, and live in London. Probably not been as long an Elbow fan as alot of you, but became one when Seldom Seen Kid came out, really liked it and have liked them since. Got to know the older material as well and like that just as much.
Was very happy to see them live last Friday at Wembley, was just as excited about seeing them as I was U2! Thought it was a great set even if Starlings went a big wrong to start with
Have been lucky enough to meet the band twice, first time was before SS Kid really took off, second time was a couple of months ago. Both times they were lovely and happy to chat, sign my albums and pose for a photo with me.

Heys. I'm Molly (as is evident from the name!) and fair play to you guys for setting up this forum. I've been an Elbow fan for ages but just assumed there wasn't any forum as I couldn't find one on the official website. So this is great.

So yeah I'm 26, living in Belfast (but I'm from Tipperary in the south) and I frickin love Elbow. It's a toss up at the moment between Elbow, The Decemberists and Muse for my favourite band. One of the coolest moments of my life was when I ran into the guys at Electric Picnic last year. Nearly swallowed my tongue I was so awestruck. But they were so lovely and seemed so happy to listen to my ramblings.

So anyway hi everyone, looking forward to gushing about the guys with you lot.

EDIT: Hhmmm.....just realised I say 'so' a lot. I annoy myself. Lol!

I am also a HUGE fan of the Decemberists! (You might be able to tell by the Avatar!)

Hi Molly! Mrs MagicalTrevor - one of the Admins - is a huge fan of Muse too amongst others here, so don't think you'll run out of stuff to post about. Love your avatar, is she a character from something?

Its a character from a comic book called Scary Miss Mary. She has a clothing line and everything. I just came across it online once and because my name is Mary I thought she was cool.
