Have been a huge fan of Elbow since 2000 (thanks to Jo Whiley). Only seen them once before at V in 2004, and saw them again last night at Wolverhampton which was beyond my exceptionally high expectations. It was perfect, and i am still reeling!

What a thrill to find so many other adoring fans for a band which has been one of the best kept secrets around-don't know whether to be delighted or miffed that the secret is out! great work, magical trevor.

Just got into Elbow. As stated before in my earlier post, i am surprised the band have slipped through my net of music.
I saw them on Live at Abbey Road. Went out the next day and bought SSK. That night bought tickets for De Montfort Hall. Next day they win the Mercury Award and suddenley they are all over the press and clips are attached to every programme on TV.

Amazing gig, amazing voice, amazing personality!

I have seen hunrdeds of bands over the years and Elbow/early Crowded House are the only bands to connect with the audience the way they do. Great banter within the band and passed on to the crowd. Because of this, every night would become different regardless if the set were to be the same. On a guitar change within a song the other night, Guy Garvey has recognised the roadie/friend (who has delivered) with a thumbs up. That NEVER happens! Just shows the respect that Guy has got for the lads behind the scene's.

Garvey is a true romantic, his lyrics delivered with poise and passion, yet realisticly to the point at times when delivering a short story within 4-5 minutes. His natural timing is something that only few can even dream of. The kind of bloke you would love to have a beer with.

I was surprised the mixture of ages attending the gig and also that the majority led towards the later 30's it seemed.

As you can tell i have been blown away by all that is Elbow and converted the missus who did not really want to see them.
