I'm Rob, I'm new, and I know of only one other Elbow fan currently, who lives far away, and is dreadful when it comes to traversing the streets of London. So, shout out if you're a London-based Elbow fan and let us go for a pint! (Please drink responsibly (Don't Mix Your Drinks)).

Does anybody know when Elbow are going to release their 2012 Jodrell Bank DVD if at all?

I'm not usually joiner of forums, but I'm a big fan of Elbow. I also wanted to tell other forum members, who are most likely even bigger fans than me, about an exhibition which includes some Elbow related drawings and prints. ( see post elsewhere )

Saying hello, seems like a nice forum and although I've loved Elbow for over 10 years and own the Vinyl Box Set (which is the best thing ever!!) I actually fell even more in love with Elbow after seeing the Jodrell Bank DVD - it's proof of the musical genius of each member of the band.

Hello, I've been a member of the forum for a while but I think today has been the first time I've had a good look around. Been a fan since 03 when someone have me AITB and been my favourites ever since, seen them about 5 times live and they just keep getting better. Past 3 albums I've not thought much of when first out, they grow and grow on me til I love them more than the last one. Current favourite song is Charge

Hello, I am Krisje, I am from Flanders, Belgium.
My husband has been an Elbow fan for years, and I always thought that it was not my cup of tea.
To do him a favor, I went along to see the concert in Brussels in June this year.
I didn't know the songs but I was intrigued and totaly charmed by Guy's warmth.
So, the next day, I moved the cd's from his car into mine and I started listening, and I am still listening.
So good! Big fan now!

I am Dave and I am film student from Czechia (you may know it for the beer and porn industry, or for our alcoholic president, yeah).

I used to listen stuff like rap, trap etc., but one day (like this lol) I was listening to a soundtrack from House MD and discovered Grounds for divorce. It stayed in my favourite playlist for several months, then I wanted to know something more about the Elbow band. It was in summer 2014. Now, early 2017, Elbow is the only band I listen for almost 2 years. Like really, my playlists are not mixes of several interprets, or genres. My playlists are mixes of Elbow music.

I love that cinematic feeling and how so much Elbow's songs are precisely conceived and let you to dip into the atmosphere, till it escalates to a glorious ending. So... yeah. That's how fanatic I am. It's a pity, that Elbow will never come to my country, because almost noone knows them at here.

Hi Dave! This description of Elbow's music is quite good. I think of many of their songs as being quite cinematic as well. They've been one of my very favorite bands for a long time now and it's nice to see that they are still finding new people who can enjoy what they do.I'm in America and I also wish they would be even bigger here than they are. But they are fantastic and I hope someday, somehow, you manage to see them live.

PS: Very cool that you're a film student. My kid is just getting ready to go to university for film as well - it's a great medium to study and to create in. Best of luck to you!

Hi! HUGE fan of the band from the San Francisco Bay Area in California, USA.

My 6-year old little girl's first concert was elbow at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park four years ago... amazing... we danced to "The Bone Of You."

ALSO: I'm a poster artist... (I've done a ton of posters for the historic Fillmore Series, as well as ones for other venues)... and I'd LOVE to do a poster for elbow for their upcoming show in Oakland, CA later this year... any idea how to get in touch with their management to find out?

First, welcome!

Second, I think I'd contact the venue and find out if they're interested in having a promotional poster made. It's possible that the venue already has an artist (or a list of artists) they can turn to. And if the venue is interested, they could put you in touch with the band (or management) if necessary for things like official logos, etc.

Also... noticed you're from Baltimore... don't know if you saw that, but in the poster I created (above) I used an old map of Baltimore (Beach House being from there and all...).

I'm a kid called Bailey from the UK.
I love Elbow (why no one else my age does is a mystery to me...) and I figured this forum place would be a nice place to be.
My favourite Elbow song is Powder Blue but I love all of them.
I try to draw Elbow stuff sometimes, but I can't draw so I have thus far only drawn This Blue World, and even then it took forever. But I digress.

I really need to sleep...

Yep, you are correct. When I started the site, social media was on the rise (even young people used facebook back then!), but over the years usage has gradually declined.

Things pick up a bit when the band is more active though.
