Yeah, I've seen that ad too! Not sure which program it was but it was definitely on Channel 4.
I thought it was really cool! (Well, as far as ads go, I mean...)

I'm sure I'm not the only one to have seen it but they've just been on comic relief (well two of them), they did Puncture repair!! Shame they did such a short song though and I don't know whether they'll perform again tonight.

Yes, short but beautiful, and very poignant in the context of the programme.

I saw it too, and was surprised when they announced that they would perform. I agree very poignant, if a little short, but very moving. I'm just waiting for someone to post it on YouTube.

As Al put it, "Elbow are channel 4's bitch!" They're all over the channel, but not the obvious songs or the usual arrangements, i love hearing the "bo unexpectedly!

The One Show had clips of Mirrorball and Puncture Repair as backing to an item on something or other. I'll admit I wasn't paying attention but I heard the music.

Really great to see skins using my favourite of course and Mexican Standoff was on an advert for Dirty Sexy Money iirc.

Someone from Watchdog must be a fan of 'Asleep in the Back' just had short snippets of 'Red' and 'Any Day Now' in the background of a piece about mould in peoples flats!!

its this kind of thing that ingrains a band into a nations concensous - it was the kind of viral marketing that got many a band noticed.

it doesnt always work mind, ironically former alies Alfie split up before the TV companies latched onto their music for TV.

Bizarrely - ITV had a Louise Redknapp prog last night: The Truth about Super Skinny Pregnancies, which had Elbow as the background music all the way through! Yes I know - quality TV!

BBC Wales - Some Riot was played over a trailer for 'What are we doing to our kids?!

heh - I saw that too! The long winter evenings just fly by at my house.

Powder Blue popped up on a documentary about the fabulous "Being Human" on BBC3 at the weekend - to accompany a bit about a doomed relationship between 2 vampires.
