| Correct. The words 'Elbow' and 'disappointment' just don't go in the same sentence...!!! | |

| Oh, no worries - I am certain that Atlanta will be earth-shakingly fabulous, trust me! Just sayin', that show andy_landy posted was sublime. True once-in-a-lifetime stuff, that. Wish I could've seen it live but I am most definitely grateful to be seeing them at all, and as headliners, not openers for a lesser band (just my opinion, don't hate on me, Coldplay fans! ). | |

| I'm seeing them open fopr U2, and I think U2 are the lesser band. | |

| I am just praying to Elbow-fan God that my friend's sister gets us there in good time so I don't miss a second of their set. The entire concert would be meaningless to me if I missed Elbow... | |

| I'd be good at it though.
There's no way we're missing The Hours or Elbow. I'm not that fussed about U2.

| I don't have much of a choice I'm afraid. My friends aren't bothered by supports, though I have been more or less promised that we won't miss Elbow. | |

| aaahhh give The Hours a chance they really are worth it. Unsure if giving them a chance on a stadium tour is the way to go though.
My advice get your own transport and meet them in there, I would be a wreck if I had to rely on someone to get me to an Elbow gig!!

| I can't do that! I've already spoken to my friend about how much I don't want to miss Elbow, bit if I push it too far I will lose a friend, need to find my way there AND need to find my way back. I'll just have to leave it in the hands of the Gods..... Oh, I'm really nervous now... No no it'll be fine. I'm sure it will be... | |

| So, I downloaded the tracks from a few pages back (all save the third of the first set, which wouldn't download at all), and I gave them a listen. Absolutely wonderful stuff. If this were released commercially, I would buy it in a heartbeat. But, in a way, I almost don't want this concert to see a commercial release. The reason? I would hate for the world to think of Elbow as a symphonic rock band. But between this and SSK: Live at Abbey Road, one could be forgiven for having the impression. Still, this concert sounded fantastic, and I envy every person who got to see it in person. | |

| I'm dying, DYING for the choir's rendition of Grace to open into the full song! If any of the band read this, please consider it for the MEN gig, you would make a LOT of people very happy! | |

Sarah, I was the same way when I heard it! Such a tease to hear them start it, and then.....it goes bye-bye without a trace! Maybe they had qualms about asking the choir to sing the "...so fuck you" bit at the end, what with it being such a high-end type of gig and all. Perhaps they were worried the profanity would be disrespectful of the setting somehow? I dunno, that's the only thing I could come up with after puzzling over it for a while, but whatever the reason for their decision to truncate the song, I do wish it would've made a full-scale appearance there. Would've been grand.

| I understand exactly why they didn't break into the full thing, not the time, place or audience, it needs a BIG audience, a BIG sing-a-long! MEN, is all i'm saying! | |

| I know, you're exactly right - the singing-along thing is what it's all about! But I really do think that the ending line of Grace Under Pressure is one of their most beautiful, despite the f-word and all. It's a gorgeous, life-affirming type of thing and it moves me like few other lyrics ever have. I may be too lowbrow for saying so, but I genuinely feel it's not something to be looked at as profane, and though I agree the setting was probably not ideal for it at the Halle show, I would've loved to see it being given the same treatment as the other songs they played there. Would've missed the audience participation for sure, and that is a big part of it, but I wish I knew how it would've sounded interpreted by the choir all the way through, just out of curiousity. That opening sounded so lovely, I could've listened to it go on a lot longer! | |

| Thanks so much for posting the files. I am thrilled that i finally got to listen to this amazing event in Australia! For some reason track 9 from the first setlist doesn't seem to be downloading - everything else worked a treat. Any clues?
Thanks again for taking the time to share this amazing music!
