| Fresh from their triumphant Wembley show Elbow are extremely proud to announce support dates with the mighty U2.
The boys have been fans of the band for many years and will be honoured to join them at two dates in London and Sheffield this August.
Full details of the shows are below
14th Aug - London, Wembley Stadium
20th Aug - Sheffield, Don Valley Stadium

| Having watched the five pronged attack of stellar brilliance that is Elbow, I conclude that U2 have made a fatal mistake and will end up as the support act after a few shows. | |

| Funny, but U2 (along with REM) was my big musical love during high school and my early college days, but I've gone right off them since their tours started getting like circuses. Now Elbow are waaay up at the top of my list, dozens of notches above U2. The headliners are on their way down, and the opening act are the ones to watch on this tour. I always cringe when I see Elbow opening for bands they could easily destroy with their eyes closed (yes, Coldplay and Snow Patrol, I'm talking to yooooou!)  | |

| Hi folks. It's been a while.
U2 added a second Wembley date (Sat Aug 15) since this support annoucement.
Anyone know if Elbow are playing that too? *prays* | |
