Your next gig?

The Bad Shepherds: Proof that old punks never die, they just pogo at a more folky pace instead.

Wonderful, saw the at Festival at the Edge last year - great fun, have a good one.

My next gig (unless you count our monthly local comedy club at Oswestry Ironworks) is also folky - the excellent Seth Lakeman in October.

Loopallu festival in mid-September for me, featuring the above mentioned Ade Edmondson & the Bad Shepherds as well as Idlewild and Turin Brakes. Headliners still to be announced and only 6 weeks to go.

I can't make this gig, but if anyone is in the Brighton area - this looks fab - Wilkommen at its best.

Just Googled CNF Ticky, and that sounds a fantastic, fun filled, family festival !

Just the sort of thing that doesn't happen in the North West, as far as i know.......

It's a fund raiser for a the family of a friend from here who hit a moose whilst driving on the highway (an all too common occurrence round here, I'm sad to say)

It really IS wonderful MBV - why don't you come on down.... bring your son, it's extremely family friendly. I know you'd love it!! I'm rather looking forward to Cakehole Presley and Biggles Wartime Band.

Not a great review mate ! Going to see them an Manchester Cathedral in a month or two - won't expect a McCartney sized setlist then !

Like I've said. The concert was good. Well, they have 3 albums - I thought they could play a little longer. I drove 300 km to see them...

I wanted to go to the Arcade Fire Manchester gig but it's a Saturday in December (Mrs Sparky wouldn't be pleased if I missed a Christmas Party to go to watch a gig)!) so it has to be Brum. Never mind, I'm sure it will be worth the trip judging by the highlights of Leeds / Reading gig just shown on BBC3

They are sounding better....I am still not entirely convinced, so from now on I will just listen to them on record....
Another problem was it was at the Barfly. The sound is hit and miss there, I had trouble hearing his vocals. The Scala will be a better venue for them

My next gig was going to be Kings of Leon next Friday, but I had to sell my tix today as a scheduling issue just came up and I won't be able to go now. Sadness...I love the Followill family's cheekbones...erm, I mean torsos...MUSIC!! I meant that I love their MUSIC!! Yeah, that's what I meant.

Still have Rush in Oct. and am trying to somehow get in to Yeasayer and Vampire Weekend, both also coming up in Oct. if I can manage them as well.

Keep the fingers crossed that there will be no rain, because it is open air on the Archive's summerparty. We're used to, that when the Archive does the summerparty, that it will be no summer weather, but purrlease no rain....
I hope someone will record me, if yes, I might put it on my myspace-account...
