| Not incidental music this time, but the band's pic was a clue on Victoria Coren's 'Only Connect' quiz. The question was of course 'People named after parts of the body'. | |

| Apparently they were a question on the Weakest Link last night - the question was something to do with Guy Garvey leading the singing of ODLT on Children in Need - he's the lead singer of which band? (The woman answering the question didn't know of course... ) Sorry for the vagueness, I didn't see it but Mr G (himself a former Weakest Link finalist ) told me. | |

| The Q music channel has been doing studio sets from Abbey Road lately. Last Friday night about 11pm was flicking throught he usual bollocks trying to find something to listen to and came across Elbow - think there were three tracks but i'd missed the first two. Can't actually remember what they were - (too much wine by that time !) One Day Like This was one, possibly Grounds
(Soon followed by an accoustic older looking Alanis Morrisette, singing some of her Jagged Little Pill album, which was pretty good too !)

I don't know if this has been reported/spotted already, but the sleeve of TSSK is shown clearly in the closing credits of the film "The Boat That Rocked" as part of a montage of iconic album covers showing that rock n roll has done pretty well in the 40 years since 1967.

| Hugh Laurie said the word "elbow" on a rerun of House last night!!! ........OK, I know that doesn't count, it's just that there's never any proper Elbow references on US telly and I feel so left out.... | |

| This particular edition of Later was a highlights package to celebrate the forthcoming 250th edition of the show and contained a variety of artistes from the previous 249 editions.
The Elbow perormance shown was "One Day Like This" from (we think) 2008: MrsW thought it was Elbow's appearance on the show just after they'd won the Mercury prize.
For those with access to BBC iPlayer, the show is still available to see. It also says on the Later homepage that the show is going to be repeated on BBC2 this coming Saturday (18th), so if you missed out there is a chance to see it again.
I'm not certain, but this particular Elbow performance could also be tucked away somewhere on Elbowfans somewhere, or maybe even on YouTube?
