Manchester Meet-ups & Wanted Sombreros

I really like Stephen Fry too. Plus he loves Americans which is a nice change!!!

I never listen to the radio 'cept Guys show, but XFM sounds good, where do I find it?
I know I'm really useless I cant find anything

I had never listened to it in the past, but ever since I won places to Elbow's Blueprint studios show last April I've been listening out of gratitude. And since then I've won loads off their show!!! CDs, concert tickets, i-tunes downloads!!! Now they have my undying support!

His tv show on America was great, I love his english-ness, he shouldn't fit in in America but he does somehow.

I LOVE facial hair! But only on the opposite sex...

I look very handsome in a moustache even though im a lady. (well, I say lady, but not very lady-like behaviour all the time :p )

I'd love to meet up with others at the MEN (bar ??). My lovely daughter (Sam) who got the tickets for us and I will be racing to get there asap. I've got 2 hour journey first from work in Derby.

I've only seen them live twice and met Guy twice (different occasions), but by the time its the MEN gig I'll have seen them twice more at the Halle and had the evening with Guy (mmmm an evening with Guy sounds so nice!) so it will be my fifth time really, still a long way to go to catch up but I'm trying.

See Nellie I may have seen them live more than you, but you've met Guy twice so you have the lead on me there. Where was the second time?

It was at the 'Ruby Lounge' about 3 weeks ago. Went to see 'The Leisure Society' there, the gig was just great, then as we were walking to the bar I looked up and was stood right next to Guy, I swear I nearly passed out. I grabbed my hubby and screamed "theres Guy Garvey" ( I'm so not cool ) hubby said "hi Guy" to him and he shook our hands, hubby then says "Oh you've made my wife go week at the knees" we had a chat about the gig and I said I was there cos I'd heard them on his show, and he said that was really great and got hold of my hand again, and he asked if we liked the venue and said its his mate that runs it, talked about the Blackpool gig and then I started going on about how much I love Elbow and hubby said I was a bit obsessed. It was absolutely brilliant, all the time I'm thinking "I'm talking to Guy" I'm amazed I managed to get any coherent words out to be honest
