Live In Delamere Forest - Moved from Announcements

Elbow will play a very special gig in the unique surroundings of Delamere Forest near Linmere in Cheshire on Saturday 14th June.

This extra special show will give fans the chance to enjoy an Elbow live show in one of Britain's most picturesque locations - proceeds from the gig will go to the Forestry Commission and all the good work that they do.

Tickets go on sale first thing on Friday 18th April.

The announcement of this gig, the day after the Manchester gig, strikes me as no coincidence! Looks like Elbow management are on the ball at the moment.

Sorry, I've mixed my threads - see comments by others (& myself) on how wonderful it would be to hear some b-sides at Delamere Forest and Glasto under the Glastonbury thread - as I'm not going to Glastonbury I should probably have said my bit here.

I've booked 2 tickets but there's only me who really likes elbow out of my mates! 1 of my mates is going but doesnt really know much of their stuff so I'll have to let him have a listen before hand!

If it's any help, the C&C club camp site mentioned above is fully booked. However, just got into this one today which is just a bit further up the road, they've just had a mass cancellation so you might get lucky! Hope this helps and might see you there!

True, tho the site owner told me it was their security crowd that let them down. Still their loss is to be an elbow fan's gain hopefully

So what's the plan for everyone?

Are you all staying at a campsite? Will there be drink available?

Am going to drive, but now might camp and have a few beers too...

Not sure Calum, there's a pub next to the campsite and the venue will serve drinks. But I think the general view is you can take your own food and drink into the venue and folding chairs are good if you have any! Was going to do the same and drive, but just thought it would be quite nice to camp over instead. Anybody else thinking of doing this?

In the T&Cs on my ticket it says:

No glass bottles, cans, plastic containers larger than 2 litres, non plastic cutlery or crockery can be brought into the area.

So how do we get alcohol in?
