| Hi everybody, i'm new here. I'd like to know if the band will release a live dvd from one of the shows of the "build a rocket boys tour". Their set @ the Reading Festival was mind blowing, would be fantastic to see that gig on dvd. | |

| Hi Snare, welcome! Not heard anything official about a live DVD yet, though the band have had some of their shows shot for a couple of longer TV specials in recent years (The South Bank Show, the Sky Arts 3D gig), so perhaps their own release isn't too far away? | |

| Maybe the Pinkpop 2011 gig was even better than Reading... a dvd from that festival would be amazing.

| I have a copy of their Glastonbury 2011 set on DVD, with banter and all. Always put it on when I just fancy returning to one of the best days of my life and one of the best sets I've ever seen. | |

| did they not record the MEN gig at the end of the SSK tour for release on dvd, or was that just a rumour? if we've got to wait as long as we have for the das-boot bsides from V2 then it'll be the tour, after the tour after the next tour before it gets on to disc... | |

| Footage of the MEN gig was used on the Southbank show, but i don't think there was ever a plan to release it. | |

| OOOOK.... after seeing them live again - we definetly need a LIVE DVD!!! Maybe we should start a petition and send it to ... yeah, where??? Maybe MagicalTrevor can help us. If we start it here - we would have at least 820 signatures... | |

Not convinced about that TBH: 3Voor12's De Smet gig from 2008( 2009?) was taken down after a few months, so all I reckon it's a sign of is a webmaster who's on the ball...

| IMHO this would be the worst tour to release on DVD as it doesn't contain enough older material. The perfect DVD release would have to be Elbow & The Halle at the Bridgewater Hall from a couple of years ago. | |

| I thought the same during the concert. But they are too young for a best of tour. :-) although Guy talked about Emma getting rich and he doesn't have to work anymore. *lol* | |

Is that another way of saying the band's recent material isn't as good? It seems that quite a few fans aren't very pleased with the latest album.I can see where they're coming from.BARB is my favourite Elbow album apart from TSSK but it is probably too 'warm' for some people's liking and lacks that kind of subtlety and experimental feel their earlier albums have. That said,it still would be truly amazing if they could release a live DVD....

| I could never choose a favourite album. I love all five including BARB (in fact I listen to BARB almost 24/7). And I don't think that the albums are that different... I could never see why some prefer one of the CDs more than other... And yes: we need a live DVD. I'm not feeling it watching it on YouTube. I need a Dvd to watch it on the telly including bonus material... A friend of mine was like: what? 5 CDs and no Dvd? It's about time! Well said, I would say!!!! | |

| A couple of Elbow fans I know here in China keep saying that how much they like the band's early stuff and how disappointing this tour looks judging from the songs they choose to play ie no early material at all.I never agree with them on this.TSSK is my favourite Elbow album but the five albums are all truly great and I love them all to death.I downloaded the Reading festvival performance off Dime in Sept. and it is so far my favourite Elbow show that I've watched.I've been hoping for an official live DVD of the BARB tour ever since. | |
