(Please don't hate me, I just desperately want to go!) Kim - you're not on your own I did exactly the same thing!!

| Hi there, here's my first post after lurking for a while. Based on some recent good fortune with BBC tickets, here's my experience. I got tickets to Radio 2 Live at IndigO2 last Nov, and to Gary Go in session for Dermot O'Leary at Maida Vale Studios in Dec. In both cases tickets came a week or two beforehand. Felt very lucky with the R2Live ones, as I think they were very popular. The other ones were probably not too hard to win as it was a little known act. Also got tickets to 2 of the 3 recordings for Christmas Top Of The Pops (applied for two)! These came as email tickets. So processes vary, and some of these tickets are more of a lottery than others. But given Elbow's high profile, especially of late, I'd expect these tickets to be quite rare. And, the way probablility works, there's quite a chance that no forum members will get any, sadly. But here's hoping, eh! | |

Just give the rest of us poor souls on the forum a full write up of the gig and we'll forgive you. Fingers crossed that the post is just slow round my way. Had a letter delivered today that was sent a month ago!

| Ohh, congrats Eag!! I'm very jealous and envious but really really pleased for you too! I guess the moment of truth will be when I check my mail after work... did you have to sign for the envelope, by the way? Or was it just delivered as normal post? | |

| They do come as normal post - the BBC logo on the front is the giveaway once you've seen one.
My wife wa a little sore with my recent BBC tickets to other events as she was *desperate* for Strictly tickets, and then I go and get a handful of tix to other events...
Still not given up hope on the Elbow tix, but recognise realistic odds!

| I noticed that none of the tickets have been put up on eBay by the winners, which is good. It means the winners actually wanted the tickets and they didn't go to random touts! | |

| Yes, thankfully these kind of tickets rarely do come up on eBay. They tend to for some of the bigger events, but not for the small ones like this. | |

| Hi, first post in the forum, hi everyone. I got a phone call at lunchtime from the BBC confirming plus an email the same as Lordlee, but nothing through the mail... strange. The lady from the Beeb just said my name would be on the guest list at the door. Also concerned that the email advises that tickets don't guarantee entry. Hope I get in and the trip down to London isn't a waste of time, plus I'll be gutted to get as close as the front door and not get in. Fingers crossed. | |
