| Finally heard a song of theirs that isn't from Seldom Seen Kid today! (For those that don't know, I'm extremely wet behnd the ears on this forum, having only recently broke my duck with The Seldom Seen Kid, so please be patient while I bring myself up to speed on this band.)
Anyway, the song was George Lassoes The Moon. I love the keyboard on this - very prog rock, reminded me a bit of Van der Graaf Generator and early Genesis. I haven't taken to the rest of the song, the vocals seem a bit buried in it, but I'll give it another go when I get the time. It's A Wonderful Life is one of my favourite movies so the title of this song alone was enough to grab my attention. |

| Teardrop!! I haven't heard it. If I can only pick two I'll go with: The Long War Shuffle Hotel Istanbul | |

- Elbow's B-sides are generally better than most bands' A-sides... what are your favourites?
Here's mine, in no particular order.
Love Blown Down - should've been on an album, it's brilliant! George Lassoes The Moon - I think it's the Noisebox version I prefer Theme from Munroe Kelly 2004 - instrumental version - it's the Eastern-sounding strings I like on this The Drunken Engineer - who was that heart-broken engineer? Teardrop - the only decent version apart from the Massive Attack original
I've probably missed a couple off, so many to choose from! You know, I don't think I have any of these. I might know which singles they are, but can you freshen my memory? Also, anyone know how I can get these singles without paying a god awful price? Thanks for any help.

| There are lots of Elbow songs that do not appear on any of the 5 albums, and this is my personal playlist:
1. Brave New Shave 2. Snowball 3. McGreggor 4. Lucky With Disease 5. Suffer 6. About time 7. Love Blown down 8. Live on my mind 9. Loss 10. Puckfair 11. Hotel Istanbul 12. Gentle As 13. The Drunken Engineer
of which my fave has to be hotel istanbul. What's your favorite?
