| As with a couple of others that people mention that are covers or unreleased radio sessions....it is not strictly a b-side, it is a John Martyn cover acoustic radio session from 2004.
I'll send it over if you don't have it.

| Thanks for that, girlafraid... I have about 40 b-sides but there's quite a few on that playlist that I've never heard | |

| I've just had an e-mail about the "One Day Like This" release with some more B-sides to look forward to! Excellent news, BUT... (I may be showing my age here, but) can anyone tell me why they release some on 7" only?? I rarely listen to vinyl (rarely get my old LPs out (I've replaced most on CD by now), and never did really bother with singles) and find it really annoying that they do this - I know you can download them but it's not the same. | |

| I reckon they do it to give record buying folk some aims - if you want it bad enough you'll collect 'em all!
I'm just glad there is the alternative of downloading :-X

| Posted a request about this song on the powderblue forum but no one answered, so I guess I'll try it here as well. Can anyone be so kind and share the hidden track on the Seldom Seen Kid album, We're Away! It almost seems like a b-side now since it's close to impossible to get hold of for us non-UK citizens | |

| <rant> I've just received another e-mail circular from the website/record company about the new single(s). I get so annoyed that the singles since the LOTFW releases have included 7" single only options. If it's to increase sales somehow, I don't see the point - I (and I'm sure many people) don't buy 7" singles but WOULD buy CDs (I have since the early days). Anyway I've just replied to the e-mail stating my opinion - let's see if I get a response. OK if they want to release 7" singles for collectors/completists, but can't they make legitimate versions (CD or download) of the B-sides available as well, so we can support the band by buying them?? </rant over> | |

| I see it as having permission to get hold of the two b-sides by any means necessary. Incidentally, if and when someone gets hold of 'em, send 'em this way guv'na | |

| Indeed - my point exactly. It's just tempting us (or justifying as Jonny says ) to get hold of unofficial downloads. I've not come across this vinyl 7"-only thing much before - but then again I don't follow many bands quite as obsessively as Elbow. But other vinyl releases usually have alternatives for getting hold of the track (one of my favourite bands, Pumajaw, bless 'em, even offered an optional CD-RW with their most recent single. So of course I bought it). I'm sure there must be better ways than encouraging illegal downloads (though of course it's nice to share! ) | |

| Aw, come on guys! You can still easily pick up a record player and they're quite cheap too. I only got a new one last Christmas and absolutely love putting on all the old vinyl's! The whole routine of taking the disc out of the sleeve, blowing of any imaginary dust, reading the sleeve notes and examining the artwork... It's brilliant! So, hooray for vinyl! (or maybe I'm just showing my age here!) | |

A little ol' turntable just doesn't sound the same though!

| For me these are the best ones :
Vum Gardia - a fantastic experimental track from one of the 'Red' eps... they used to play this song before starting the concert way back when they were not known. It gave me the chills the first time I heard it in the venue several years back (they played in Brussels for about 100 people then - now they're selling out venues).
About time - another excellent song taken from one of the 'Red' eps...
One thing that was bothering me - awesome song, very moving from the 'newborn' ep
Waving from windows - from the 'Grace under pressure' ep
Live on my mind - very beautiful, from the 'not a job' ep

| McGreggor is pretty awesome. I remember George and I listening to it and pondering if this was a new direction Elbow might be taking. Then we heard Grounds for Divorce! Both quirky and excellent | |
