| If Elbow covered A Little Respect I'd puke up my stomach. | |

| Songs they could cover: Genesis - Carpet Crawlers, Pacidy, Entangled, Blood on the rooftops Peter Gabriel - Why don't we (never released track, appears only on a few bootlegs), Another Day (not really a Gabriel-Track, it's by Roy Harper but he did a heartrending duet with Kate Bush...) Guy could do it with Jesca Hoop... Pink Floyd - Pillow of Winds, See Saw, Burning Bridges Talk Talk - Inheritance | |

Indigo - Peter Gabriel Afterglow - Genesis Perfect Circle - REM Cruel - Prefab Sprout We Could Send Letters - Aztec Camera Shipbuilding - Robert Wyatt
Sorry it's all old stuff!

creep is already a goodish song (for early Radiohead) so i think Elbow could take it and make it really something Excellent. I really think you are right about how well they could cover this song.

| I'm a huge Springsteen fan. I'm sure they could cover something by him. Maybe Your Own Worst Enemy.
Covering The Who or The Clash would be awesome too.

Sorry it's all old stuff! Seeing REM makes me think At My Most Beautiful would be a nice fit.

| Mad Mad moon of Genesis should be good by Elbow. That song was never played live by Genesis. | |

Still holding out for Entangled here.

| Is the following thing true ? "During a 3 hour BBC radio show in 2008 hosted by Elbow, they raided the BBC concert archives to play some live Talk Talk (Life's What You Make It/Mirror Man/What Does Caroline Know?) to kick things off. Their singer, Guy Garvey, has some great things to say about the band afterward." http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00g85sr | |

| Yes it is, but it was mostly Craig talking at the beginning about Talk Talk, then all the others joined in. If I don't know of anyone else recording a radio show of Elbow, I do myself, but I can only do it at 96kbps. on software I have. I could upload the first part with Talk Talk. Of course if anyone has the show in higher quality that would be even better! I recorded in 3 parts and tried to skip the news bulletin/ads. The first part I recorded at 1 hour 18 mins with Elbow sharing the following, Talk Talk, P J Harvey, Beck, Doves, Radiohead, John Martyn, Joni Mitchell
Out of the above favourites I remember Guy has covered John Martyn and Joni Mitchell.

| Ok, You should be able to download audio from Ning's Elbow site. I put it there as doesn't expire like 'sendspace' etc and adds to the Elbow collection. do you mean the press from the NME from 2003? 'Why I love... Talk Talk', NME 15.11.03 back to 'covers' ... | |

| Join Finest Hour Fever group on there. First part of show with Talk Talk is there with other radio presented by Guy/eLbow that have been added previously to this group, ie, not specifically the band playing in session or being interviewed about band activity as are in the archive 'Interviews' section.
Sorry you couldn't find it straight away. Do you have a scan of the original NME article?

| Nice article, now I feel even more close to the Garve because of that part with listening to the stuff of the elder sister...(but in my case it was Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath) But he's really right about Talk Talk. I remember liking them in the 80ies quite more than the other stuff that was in the charts | |
