just read this on Lauren Laverne's twitter feed - Jo Good is standing in for Lauren Laverne on 6 music and promises "new tunes from Klaxons and Elbow".

The show's 10am-1pm, I'm not moving from my desk until she plays it. (The Elbow song, not the Klaxons one!)

yep my hunch was correct, it's Mercy Street. Recording it now, will stick it online in a bit hopefully

Heard it whilst grafting away...........no wonder it was called 'The Headphones Moment' ( or summat or another)...........it totally submerged me, it was just wonderful, esp after knowing nothing from Gabriel, tantamount to a deserved flogging on these boards !

Just heard it the once so far, but Guy's nailed that haunting, almost-understated but achingly beautiful vocal of the original while the arrangement is spot-on. I'm so glad it works, 'cos on a purely selfish basis Gabriel's version on So has been loved to death!

'fraid so... tried 7digital, amazon, we7 etc but it only seems to be on itunes (I also have never bought one note of music from itunes)

You can listen to it on Peter Gabriel's website, though I don't know for how long so I'd recommend listening to it there sooner rather than later.

If the embedded player there just so happens to leave an mp3 on your hard drive in your browser's cache, well, I wouldn't know anything about that... Wink
