| Very much enjoyed the Apollo gig last Thursday, a pleasure enhanced by meeting the Trevors. From examining the set lists of the tour so far, it's clear that Cast Of Thousands material is not getting much of an airing this time out. It probably serves us right for not having got to see them before Delamere (and they do have an award-winning album to tour!), but we would love to see them do Fugitive Motel and Switching Off. On the other hand, we've seen 'em twice and got Newborn and Scattered Black and Whites twice, so we can hardle complain. Maybe when they do Wembley they'll have a set list drawn from the broader canon, one less biased towards SSK. Here's hoping. | |

| Went and saw Elbow in the Ambassador Theatre last night, was a great gig -but not up there with their last two performances in Dublin (in venues) The acoustics in the AT are poor for the quieter songs, but the louder ones worked a treat. Was over joyed to finally get to hear Scattered Black and Whites, Some Riot and Weather To Fly live, especially WTF which was just brilliant. Guy was his usual witty and charming self..

| Given the proximity of Manchester to Sheffield, and the relative earliness of The Fix in the setlist, I'm thinking RH had to be back early. He does have kids (well, at least one) so that could be why he was only at Manchester. | |
