| I'm intrigued by the 'previously unreleased' video, is that just the ones on the bonus album DVD? | |

There never was 'Asleep in the Back' bonus DVD, like there was with CoT or LOTFW. I've only seen 'Coming Second live at the Astoria' on the DVD single of 'Asleep in the back' and videos of just some of the first album's single releases previously on yahoo, youtube etc. Never seen video for 'Bitten...' and Little beast etc, or much 'live at the Astoria' so that will be all fresh. So this is absolutely wonderful , thanks! for you seeing this. Assuming that there just wasn't room for any live session of 'About time'? and 'The Crow'? or 'Asleep in the back'? Or that from 'Live from the Astoria' or 'Radio 1 sessions' these three songs wern't recorded at these? Would like to know. I remember 'Asleep...' and 'About Time' were played live on KCRW radio session in USA, and 'The Crow' on an Amsterdam radio broadcast and there are unofficial live recordings of those 3 songs from europe and USA. But nevertheless looks a comprehensive package, with the live sessions and unreleased video.

| Awesome. Thanks for the tip...
Was the version of "George..." on Noisebox (not included here) the same as the "Any Day Now" EP version? Just curious, since it seems strangely omitted...

No, they're different - the Noisebox version is longer, the Any Day version is noisier (although I only have them on low-quality mp3 so the difference in noise could just be the way they're encoded) Be interesting to hear a live version of "George" though.

| I'm a bit confused by Disc 3 - are tracks 13-25 videos as well? If not they just look like a duplicate of Disc 2 | |

Ignore me - obviously discs 1 and 2 are CDs and 3 is a DVD of the tracks on discs 1 and 2. I'll go back to my cave now.

Be interesting to hear a live version of "George" though. Thought so, too, but wasn't sure (since I, too, only have MP3s of the Noisebox versions)... shame... means there's still one version not "technically" available. Bummer... but this package is nice, and certainly - I'll be picking it up, too.

| Only time I ever saw 'George Lassoes the Moon' played live, they did a shorter version, so I do hope the Astoria recording is closer to the original Noisebox then, if we are not actually getting the Noisebox version. | |

| Do Elbow or Fiction own the rights to these recordings? Is this being released with their input/blessing? | |

The other half was speculating about all this as well. Apparently, Universal Music Group bought V2 from Branson in Oct 2007. The current label, Fiction is a satellite of Polydor, who are wholly owned by UMG so the two companies' output should be owned by the same corporation. It'd be interesting to know where the band sit in this arrangement: Whether they're being dragged into it by some savvy Universal suit experienced in timing releases, or if the lads have pushed for this themselves as the nearest they could get to the all-hallowed B-sides and rareties package. Either way, it's great for fans and (you'd hope) all good for Elbow themselves. More info: Universal Music Group and V2

| I should imagine they would have some input. It's certainly great for us and will help to tide us over until some new material is released. Perhaps the B-sides (referred to as 'Dead in the Boot' in an interview with Guy shortly after TSSK was released (I posted the interview some time back, somewhere...), will be released sometime next year when things are a little quieter? | |

| It's a shame they have pushed back the date. It would be great for the set to be released on the 18th for the MEN show, they could sell it at the gig adding a special something to keep us all occupied during the long cold Elbow free winter! | |
