I have come to the conclusion that there is only 1 song that I can't listen to - Powder Blue / Andy Votel mix. As soon as I hear the duck call at the beginning I have to turn it off - it's barking mad! Is this Garv's fascination for birds gone a bit too far...?

Well, yea, that duck sounds quite silly for a dreamy song like Powderblue. But I got used to it thinking it could be meant as Party noises when the cold-turkey-couple marries... I think the "Broken elbow dub" of Fallen Angel is worse because almost nothing of the original is recognisable...

Ugh..Choises..Either Snooks, because of the loud noises a minute in, but I do love the melody and the lyrics. Or Crawling with idiot, it kinda feels boring to listen to it.

I agree about the lyrics of Not a Job but for me the sound is kind of too MOR. I didn't start liking this song until I heard the acoustic version on the B-side of the Grace Under Pressure EP, when yes I realised how good the lyrics are and what a good song it is behind that overall glossy sound that put me off it.
OTOH Snooks is one of my personal favourites, loud bits an' all

I think Bitten is one of my worst ones. Well I like it, but not all the time. I have to be in the "right mood" for it.

But it has to be said I love Bitten, in most moods...

Bitten is really good, I love the drum beat and the guitar parts, somehow it reminds me of what an ancient tribe would make, without the lyrics and the guitar and other modern instruments.

Lady (Lay Down Your Cross) is the Elbow song I can stand the least.

But seriously, why is An Audience With The Pope mentioned, it's one of their best

There really is no such thing as a worst Elbow song. They don't seem to be capable of doing anything poorly. And in my rosy-eyed opinion, Guy Garvey simply can't do any wrong at all. He could sing a Spice Girls song and make it sounded frickin' awesome.

The only song I will sometimes skip when I am in the company of others is Snooks, because I will invariably have complaints at the weird noises. Same with Flying Dream 143 I guess. Poor old Cast of Thousands got both mentions there.

This is a little like picking which one of your babies you want to let be killed. I don't want to play this game, thank you very little...

I don't know. However, i think the worst Elbow song is still a decent song.

Absolutely agree, it's the music - the 'arrangement' to be precise - Status Quo on morphine. I'm sure that re-arranged they could deliver a far superior version to the one on the album.
My biggest 'gripe' track is probably "Audience With The Pope" which to me feels soooo average when compared to the rest of TSSK.
