| At least it has "sunshine and showers" when you click on Saturdays weather! We'll be taking waterproofs and wellies, anyway - and a bin liner to sit on! Anything, as long as it doesn't tip it down relentlessly all day....please, weather gods! | |

| well i figure if i can cope with the downpour and mud of glasto'05 then i can cope with anything having said that i may well buy some new footwear on saturday morning! so after debating whether to drive or not, i ended up picking up a coach ticket off gumtree for face value. i'm fairly happy about that as it means i'm able to walk everywhere. so not completely sure what time i'll be arriving yet. not sure what exactly to expect either, this will be my first visit to jodrell bank in about 30 years! would be fantastic to see some old faces, hopefully i will get there early enough to make it close upfront... or i may just inveigle myself upfront anyway, ha! squee | |

| The conditions were always going to be bad. Personally I think they should've pulled it earlier in the week and re-scheduled for later in the year. However, it didn't stop me enjoying the show. Glad I opted out of parking on the official car park in favor of a mate's business a mile or so away. I actually used my £5.00 car park ticket (which looked identical to the gig tickets) to get into the gig. The staff didn't even check it. lol My biggest complaint isn't the weather, it's the fact that elbow now seem to be an attractive band to the flag waving Tory brigade who would normally be found at Gary Barlow's concert for the Queen. The idiots who still think that, 'The Seldom Seen Kid' is their debut album and talk through 'Scattered Black & Whites' because they've never heard it before. Please, Elbow. Make your next record something really dark that they'll all hate. Hopefully this will force them all back to their Elton John concerts. Sadly, doing the Olympic theme will only have the opposite effect and probably attract more of these types. :-/

| Oh come on now, don't go hating on people just because they've not been fans for as long as us. Definitely hate on them for talking through songs though, be it scattered b&w or other Guy did shush the crowd before scattered b&w Having said that, the giant union jack projected on the dish will certainly align with certain members of the crowd. It took a fair amount of dedication to go given the forecast. I would say there were more fans than casual gig goers. | |

| Reading this makes me somehow happy seeing them in Germany, even if it's just once in three years. But we appreciate it when the lads are over here. Nevertheless.... Hope you've enjoyed the evening even if it was a rainy one... Still waiting for some pics and more gossip. | |
