| C'mon Chrissie, I bet you secretly enjoyed the spat! It's great to watch when you're not directly involved! Thankfully I'm not an angry drunk, but I do become rather 'affectionate' when I've had a few and yes, I have been known to tell random strangers how wonderful/fabulous they are when inebriated! | |

| Yesterday I saw a crowd of nursery kids in yellow high visibility vests. They looked really cute. And today I saw again a rabbit on that leafy traffic island near my office, which is nicknamed the "Easter Island" | |

| Beside the lovely nightingale that made me smile again I had to laugh about that bunny on the "Easterisland" trying to stand on its hind legs to catch some leafs from a tree... | |

| Finding out that my old freelance/production company is listed on IMDB, plus two documentaries I made nearly 20 years ago. Very weird way of finding out; the client who commissioned me mentioned it completely by chance. | |

| I realise that this is hardly in keeping with the flow of the thread, but this morning I convinced a girl in work that we didn't have ice cream vans in Ireland. No, we had potato vans instead.
The fact she actually believed it still has me smiling and I've been home from work nearly two hours already.

| I've just ordered Emma Unsworth's book off Amazon. In the "Customers who bought this item also bought....." section were: Villagers, Jesca Hoop, I Am Kloot, The Elbow Story, Massive Attack (feat. Guy Garvey) and Peter Gabriel's "Scratch My Back" album including his version of Mirrorball. It looks like an identikit shopping basket for some of you guys.......a bit predictable us elbow completists aren't we? Oh and then mrs sparky came back from shopping with our son and she told me he'd bought the "Arcade Monkeys" new album Not a hilarious evening, I grant you, but it made me smile | |

| Actually, Sparky, your post did make me smile! Looks a bit like my Amazon shopping basket! Looking forward to reading it now (and desperately hoping it's a good read!). | |

| With all the shit going on all over the place, I would just like to announce that I have made the cake of the century - ginger and banana. Ultra moist and very treacle-y. I'm a happy bunny! | |

| Sounds delish, never thought of putting ginger and banana together. I've always used all spice for my banana loaf. | |

| A fab weekend. On my return from shopping on Saturday, there sat my new car on the driveway. A mini (new, well it is 8 yrs old) but I absolutely love it. I've been out in it oodles over the weekend and can't stop smiling every time I get in. It's completely impractical and a bit of a squeeze but I just love it! I've wanted one ever since I passed my test back in the day.
My hubby asked was this as good as meeting Guy at St Pauls after the gig and when I couldn't stop smiling all night, I actually lept in the air walking away from him I was so excited!! How sad is that! I replied "it comes close"!

| Parent's Evening at my daughter's school last night. Whilst we waited to see the teacher, the wife and I looked through her exercise books and came across this poem:
Jack and Jill went up the hill And decided to make a cake Jack fell down and broke his crown So Jill had the cake all to her herself
Hilarious. My daughter is seven, by the way. I don't want to come across as a gushy, oh isn't my child wonderful, kind of parent; I just find the poem really funny.
