Conversation at the dinner table last night:-
Dad to all "How do you fancy moving to Brazil?
I gulp, look up and nearly choke to death on chicken and rice (in shock)!
Teenage daughter "What!! we're not moving are we Mum!" looks at me desperately for answers and starts welling up.
Youngest daugher walks in from school tonight "When are we going to Brazil to live, Mum?" (already her bags are packed and passports at the ready)!
Still no discussion has passed between us but apparently it's a serious offer, at work. Men they really choose their moments! Watch this space.......

...my horoscope of this month as it was written in a woman's magazin describing my star sign virgo in a humorous way as pedantic and being a secret femme fatale. I am close to a "Messie" and I have the sex appeal of a 13 yr old village girl

I was in Manchester yesterday performing a complicated and time critical itinerary that involved picking our daughter Emma up from Fallowfield, driving into town, dropping off mrs sparky and Emma for a day shopping together, driving down to Deansgate Locks to pick up our son Liam who had been in Manchester the previous evening, driving out to Old Trafford for the game (don't mention it), driving back into town after the game to meet back up with Emma and mrs sparky, all having our tea out, driving back to Fallowfield to drop Emma off, taking Liam back home and then going back to Euxton (Not Yookston Shirley).
Anyway, that's not the little thing that made me smile, that's just a normal day!
So, What made me smile was that I saw Alan Bradley, the legendary Corrie character who got run over by a tram in Blackpool whilst he was in pursuit of Rita. And, you've guessed it, he was near the tram line
By the way, Alan was played by actor Mark Eden, I know Corrie is not real

Just got back from our local Italian Restaurant, Papa Luigi's
The bill came to 50 odd quid but those cheeky Italians suggested I make it £61.61 to commemorate our famous defeat last Sunday. I promise you it was a smile, not a grimace.
A bottle of elbow beer should cheer me up

Absolutely no idea what happend!
Anyway, my ten-year old (who seemingly had a bit of a run-in with his teacher today) asked me if all women are always so grumpy!
Made me laugh, though!

Nice one MBV. I've been going to OT for 35 years and I can't remember being so outclassed before. I'll probably get my season ticket confiscated for saying this, but if we don't win it, I hope you do. You're playing some entertaining football with (apart from the evil Tevez) a smile on your faces. You must be loving it!

When I went to intern today, there was this one girl in the 3rd grade class I was observing who I couldn't help but smile at. She reminded me a lot of myself at that age. It was TOO CUTE.

Idly browsing Google Maps, as I am wont to do occasionally, I came across an Elbow Street in Chorley. This amused me.

Ha Ha, I must have walked /cycled / driven past that street thousands of times over the last 40 years and I didn't know it was Elbow Street (It's the little road next to Dickinsons warehouse that doesn't lead anywhere )

On reading my emails today noticed one sent to the Finest Hr by myself!!! Saying what a massive fan, seen Elbow all over, will be coming to Madrid for their gig to celebrate mine and my sisters 40th. Is there any possibility of saying hello after the show!!!
My other half sent this unknowingly as a Surprise. I'm smiling about it now but completely mortified!! On the three occasions we have said hello I've been left a quibelling wreck! I know he means well.
It will never happen I know. Street cred just plummeted to 0. Do I feel like a stupid lovestruck teen or what!

Nice one Lynne! Madrid sounds like will be amazing, so if you *do* get the chance to say hello, you might be relaxed enough to enjoy it...? And Happy 40th

Thanks for that Mrswoman, just to point out it's my sister's 40th. If only!! It's never gonna happen but really looking forward to the gig. Another Elbow fix in Madrid can't be bad.
