My daughter in her school play "The Evacuees", I know not very seasonal but she beamed on stage even though she made an appearance of 30 seconds in an hour and a half play.
Was a very proud mummy!

Lynne I know how you feel, last night I watched my 4 year old lad's first nativity - he starred as a sheep. Just seeing him and his fellow sheep on that stage, singing their little song and doing a little dance made me incredibly proud, and a little amazed that our little baby had grown up so fast.
Still, he was a tired and grumpy little sod this morning, just to bring us back to earth a bit. Bless him!

My cat jumping on my lap a minute ago and purring at me
Oh and spotting a certain MagicalTrevor posting on another forum I frequent. Made me do a double take, that did
and I can't WAIT for Christmas, and neither can my nearly-4-year-old boy (my little girl's a bit too young to appreciate it)...

Got fed up with the thing, it was beginning to distract me from work! Might come back though, I do miss it a bit.

And already I'm back in short sentence twitter mode, missing out words when I type!
Sorry, off-topic, I'll edit this later to include something heartwarming about my son making my daughter laugh by shouting "BOOYAKA! BOOYAKA!" in her face.

If cats could laugh, they'd almost certainly sound like that! Thanks TL

I've spent the morning experimenting with make up and putting together clothes i would not be allowed to wear to work, just to potter around town for an hour, these things make me happy!!!

Last night, was aiding to my gorgeous toilet training son who's 3, and as I was pulling up his Thomas The Tank Engine Undies he gave me a big kiss on the lips and told me he loved me.
Suddenly, £3,000 solicitors bills getting to see him properly and years of garbage from his personality disordered mother, well.........it didn't matter at all.

You'll have to post a pic of your new castle MT! Totally engrossed in the Winter Olympics, very much a fave of mine. Loving just about every sport in it (but especially anything on skates), though still trying to get my head around curling...

Lots making me smile today - lovely weather, a day ahead which includes my family and some live rock & roll, and as if that wasn't enough, I got to watch both Tim Burton AND Johnny Depp on Jonathan Ross last night! I'm a happy camper!

I was watching my DVD of Elbow doing TSSK at Abbey Road, and when the ending of One Day Like This came on, my daughter walked into the room. She loved Peter Kay's Children in Need video last Christmas and recognized the refrain from that, so she started singing the Hey Jude bits along with it, just as they did on the charity single. Wish I could've posted a video of it, she was great and it made me smile in a big way!

Glad to know someone in my town has a sense of humor:
As I was leaving the parking lot of my local supermarket today, I noticed that someone had altered the stop sign. Thanks to some creative stenciling work, the sign now reads - STOP Hammer Time
