| Bit of a random post, but who's your favourite comedian or comedians?
Dylan Moran Bill Bailey Lee Evans Mark Watson (release a DVD already!) Stephen K. Amos Jo Brand Richard Pryor Alan Carr Frankie Boyle Omid Djalili
And the list goes on. I think programmes like Mock the Week, QI and all that a great 'cause introduce me to new acts eg Mark Watson, Russel Howard ETC.

| Can't beat a good live night, though telly comedy's the mainstay here - more's the pity. I love so many comedians, but the faves old and new are:
Eddie Izzard Ross Noble Jason Manford Vic & Bob Peter Kay Stuart Lee Morecambe & Wise Victoria Wood Jo Brand Sean Lock Tim Minchin Bill Bailey Newman & Baddiel

| Eddie Izzard is fantastic! Also love:
Mitch Hedberg (R.I.P.) Bill Hicks (double R.I.P., one of the greats) Richard Pryor Larry David (not a stand-up comic, but SO funny)
Grew up listening to my dad's comedy records and still give them a spin now and again...Smothers Brothers, Steve Martin, Bob Newhart, Woody Allen and George Carlin were his faves and some of that stuff still cracks me up . And I added my own records over the years - Monty Python, mostly, because I will never get tired of listening to those guys!

| cant forget some of the original Billy Connolly stuff from way back.
agree with most of the above. Saw Russel Howard a few weeks ago, but he's now doing all the show material every week on Mock The Week, which is a bit repetitive.
Frankie Boyle is a riot.
Jimmy Carr Michael Macintyre's not bad either.

Oh wow you're so lucky. Love Phil Jupitus, he's a riot. I wanted to go see Eddie too, but my Dad was like "it's not my thing." What! He just doesn't understand the hilarity of Mr Izzard.

| There have been years where I saw about 100 shows a year because I worked at a theatre which programmed mainly (Dutch) comedy. But the last two years is has been about 10-15 shows a year. My favorite Dutch comedian is Ronald Goedemondt. He's absolutely amazing. Here's a youtube clip in which he speaks English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsrF8_fTLaUAn other favorite of mine (suitable for people who don't understand any Dutch) is a comedygroup called The Ashton Brothers. They're performing not only in the Netherlands but all over the world. Here's a trailer from their website: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTGM3d1tjxg and a scene from their first show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkDcwgkgUr8I don't watch a lot of shows by English speaking comedians but I do like to watch stuff like Qi and Mock the Week. I really like Russell Howard, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr and Rob Brydon. I have tickets to see Rob Brydon in Manchester in september and I'm actually quite excited about that.
