| Oops perhaps that came out wrong, sorry I didn't mean any offence. I wish my *** Internet connection was smooth; I've had it on pause for about 1/4 hour now and it's just as bad. I'll try again later as I wouldnt have chance to watch it uninterrupted by now anyway. | |

| Wah! I just managed to watch this till the end and I think I may need to organise an appointment for some serious botox! Still, embarrassing close-ups aside, this has to be my favourite Elbow-gig ever! The intimate setting made for such a wonderful atmosphere; they really were close enough to touch and the audience were respectful and appreciative. Absolutely, absolutely DELIGHTED to hear them do Picky Bugger! It's such a rarity, I feel incredibly priviliged! It truly was the perfect evening in every way! | |

- Hey, was Guy crying during Some Riot?
I noticed too that he wiped his right eye. But this is a very emotional song and I remember the very first version of the song live in Amsterdam that he even sounded like he was close to tears. I'm always amazed how he makes it to sing sad songs without crying. I couldn't. But this was a very beautiful concert. I hope it stays online for a long time...

| He said that he origianlly wrote the song about a friend who was drinking too much, but then realised that it was actually about him, and his drinking.
Gorgeous song. | |

| What a beautiful performance all round! Full of wonderful touches Picky Bugger sounded fantastic, and so did Newborn retouched for strings. Guy is a dab hand with an audience - especially with improv light jazz well done lads (and lasses). | |

| What a wonderfull evening! I just watched the webcast and am still amazed. The venue was absolutely tiny, I think there were about 200 people. The guys seemed to enjoy themselves as well, Guy told lots of bad jokes and amuzing stories. The way he introduced Puncture Repair was quite touching. I had never heard this story about his dark tea-time of the soul before and thought it gave the song an extra layer. At the end of the song Guy looked back at Richard and gave him a little wink which I think was quite sweet. At the end of the evening i asked Wayne, the most polite roadie I've ever met, whether I could have the setlist for my friend who managed to get tickets and was kind enough to take me along. Later I realized our little conversation sounded almost too polite, something like the Fry and Laurie sketch Tony and Control: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DyMSH4ATsY&feature=related Anyways, the setlist was as follows: They changed Weather to fly into Mirror Ball last minute. They did play Grounds for Divorce although it isn't on the recording. I thought it was one of the highlights of the evening; it was some kind of weird country-version with Guy playing mouth harp. But the band didn't seem to like it as much as the audience did because they didn't clear it for broadcast. | |

| Guy missed a couple of notes on the harmonica. It just shows you what perfectionists they are: if it's not 110% right, it's not going out! Shame though because as far as I was concerned it was only a minor hiccup. | |

| I know, I am very lucky indeed! But the way I see it is: I only have 1 life and if I have the time/opportunity/money to do the things I want to do, then what the hell, I will! Also, the last couple of Elbow-related trips were sort of 'panic'-decisions if you like because after September they'll be disappearing for quite a while, so I wanted to make the most of it. Mmm, maybe just as well, so I can start saving for the next tour! Anyway, not to stray too far off-topic: this one will always be special to me due to the proximity of the band, the respectful audience and most of all, the songs they did. Truly, truly wonderful... Just wished I knew how to put the broadcast on a disc in case it gets pulled at some stage... | |

| What a beautiful and at times moving performance they gave. I feel honoured and priviliged just to have watched it! Jones, it's a beautiful memory which you will cherish forever, thankyou for sharing it with the rest of us. I hope they play Picky Bugger at Bridgewater Hall -it's one of my absolute favourites! And finally, in the words of the inimitable Mr Hawley 'Give this f*cking band the round of applause they so royally deserve!' | |

| Wow - what an amazing performance. I can see why you felt this was the best gig you've seen. Was it you I spotted on the front row in front of Mark and Craig? If it was you had a fab view.
I just love it when GG after every song says "Thank you very much" in that great Mancunian voice. He always really appreciates the audience's reaction. What fab guys they are.
Thanks for posting, hopefully it will be online for a while yet so I can watch it at least another 20 times over.
Great and thank you very muuuuch....
