I was just thinking about this t'other night on seeing the setlist from the M.E.N.

What other band have got such a wealth of great material that they can leave out songs like Great Expectations, Switching Off, Asleep in The Back, Friend Of Ours, Powder Blue etc etc?

The MEN gig on Absolute Radio. Sounds amazing, wasn't able to go so this is second best, only wish I had some visuals to watch too. Still can't have it all.

Switching Off - Haven't listened to much Elbow over the last few months - trying to wean myself off a little. I put it on and it stopped me in my tracks - it is utterly exquisite.

Had a major blast of Elbow last weekend when the weather was fine.
Bit of a montage, Station Approach, Forget Myself, Switching Off, Fugitive Motel, Hotel Istanbul, The Bones of You to mention a few. Its always great to have a blast when you havent listened for a while Cool

I had a mega-bout of insomnia last night and ended up listening to both AITB and TSSK in full on my headphones. Both sounded just as massive and gorgeous now as they did first time I listened to 'em. Newborn still f**kin' kills me, I swear.

At the moment I have TSSK with the BBC live playing in the office where there are a few others who have not experienced Elbow. I'm getting rather a few complimentary comments to say the least!
One thing My m8 said one day was funny. The worst thing about Elbow is your Mother likes the same band as you do. So very true. Razz
