Elbow Announce Two New Dates

Stop the presses! Elbow have just announced two new shows in London and Manchester.

The band will now extend their stay at the glorious Roundhouse venue in Camden to play a third show on Monday 13th October.

Later in the month, Elbow will close their biggest UK tour ever with a triumphant second night at Manchester's Apollo on Thursday 30th October.

A pre-sale will open at 9am tomorrow (Thursday 3rd July) allowing Elbow fans to get their tickets before anyone else.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday 4th July.

Oh thank God I'm not the only mad Elbow fan! I was beginning to feel like a freak!
Saw them in Dublin and Belfast and even went over to Amsterdam to see them. (Ok, so that's where I'm originally from and did the 'family thing' as well, but that was just an excuse!) Next up is the Electric Picnic and Dublin again. Everyone thinks I'm mad, but hey, I think it's pretty harmless.
Well, the way I see it is that they may not tour again for ages, so I have to get my fix in now. Wish I could go to the last Manchester show as well though... (or maybe now I'm just being greedy!)
That one makes an excellent candidate for a live-dvd, don't you think? Maybe petition the band/record label/management ?

If they were a football team no-one would think you're mad for 'following' them, would they?

Anyways, your point is a good one about them maybe not touring for a while after this one.

A live DVD would be nice though!

Well, it was more permission than nudging. I didn't think MMT would let me go to both gigs.

But then I suppose I could have played the "but we're going to Ireland to see Muse" card.

Bought tickets for Hamburg thinking it was the last night of the tour and just seen that they've added dates in Holland and Belgium. To make matters worse I've had to take leave for Hamburg and I'm off when they play in Brussels. What would you lot do?...


a) go to Hamburg as planned

b) go to Brussels and sell Hamburg tickets

c) go on a mini European tour of Germany, Holland and Belgium

I'd go for the mini European tour myself! sounds great if you have the cash, the time, and the inclination.

The buggers did the same thing to me with the Manchester gig, I bought the first date thinking it was the last night, then they announce another one a week later! MMT persuaded me to buy for that one. Didn't take much arm-twisting though.

You should get more Elbow exposure than you would from a sleeveless t-shirt.

I'm very tempted. Will have to see if I can get some more 1p tickets on RyanAir.

I hate Ryanair.

We flew to Dublin on Ryanair, was OK for a budget flight. Cost 0p to fly out and 1p to fly back. Good job, given how f*&^%g expensive Dublin was.

still hoping they come up to Aberdeen sometime soon.

off topic ...but even Oasis come up our way and sold out two nights in seven minutes here on Wednesday.
