| Great performance, spot on in every way. Musically, lean and mean, vocally impassioned (Tower Crane Driver was phenomonal) and who can forget Guy's interplay with the crowd? Not since Phil Collins got 170,000 people to stick their hands in the air and shout "Whoooo" in ghostly tones back in 1987, have I ever seen such self-effacing and all-conquering frontman schtick.

| I know not everyone may get the message about the full gig. I should be recording it, for my personal use ;-) | |

| For fun, I made up a "album cover" for the concert recording: The image came from the BBC's website. I know it's not "right." The font is wrong for one thing, but Times New Roman (much as I hate it) was the "closest" I had to what Elbow used on the last two albums. The character spacing is also off. I might rethink it later. Or maybe not. At iPod-size, it looks fine. | |

| So im back, finally, to reality after my trips away to Glasto, Leeds and then Cheshire.
What can I say about Elbow at Glasto? Wow , wow, wow!!
We were lucky enough that we had managed to get to the side of the stage about 3 rows or so from the front, and even though there is a massive gap between the front row and then the stage, it didnt matter one jot. The interaction between Guy and the crowd was brilliant, Guy really did seem to have them eating out of his hand. I cried, alot! during the set. The Birds, Tower Crane Driver ( think I nearly cried all the glitter from my eyes at that song), and also One day. They were all amazing , and I must say, that ,that could have been, in all the 10 years that ive been following the band, my favourite ever Elbow performance. We have the BBC set on video to watch, but as of yet I cant bring myself to watch it, as even typing this now, I feel very emotional about it all. Coldplay really, really did have a lot to live up to after that set. Headlining in 2013? They should, in my opinion have headlined this year.

What we need now is a series of big, open air summer elbow events for 2012. Somewhere like Old Trafford cricket ground for me; them and Kloot and one or two others. They're at the point where they can do that now: A two hour set, plenty of room for some older material. Bring it home! Get 'em pencilled in for next July! this may be the best idea ever!!!

| Why, thank you very much! They could even have a tower crane in the car park by the main entrance to OT so they can dangle the big chandelier over the front of the stage; this would even provide the band with a real, live tower crane driver to serenade. | |

for the torrent-literate amongst you, head to isohunt and search for glastonbury. it's part of the 'glastonbury 2011 pack'. at a pinch I could probably upload this somewhere over the next day or two. (1.4GB .mp4)
This is an excellent download; but is anyone else who has got it suffering from a little jump at about 65 mins and 37 seconds during 'one day like this'. I've tried to download twce now and get the same thing. Very annoying. Still I suppose I can't complain. Wonder what the source was; there's no BBC Glastonbury graphics so it's not off the air in the UK.

| BBC 4 are showing the gig again at 12.05 am. It goes on for an hour, so maybe it'll be the whole set.

| A nice fellow on youtube loaded the whole gig. It's soooo amacing. Just watched it and it gave me goosebumps. Seeing them play live in front of such a huge audience... and the audience was amacing. On this point I NEVER get, why they are only huge in the UK.... So much better then many other bands who are famous worldwide... It's such a pity. | |

Totally agree, it's just they need more promotion on TV and all that stuff and they'll beat other bands for sure !
