John Barry - RIP.

Composer John Barry dies aged 77

As a lover of things cinematic, I have enjoyed John Barry's music over the years - he has provided the soundtrack to some iconic movies. We are all familiar with the music to Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever and his other Bond themes, but my personal favourite is the main theme for the film "Enigma".

His sweeping strings and elegant melodies influenced many a modern artist too, I particularly love Goldfrapp's Barry-esque songs.

So thanks for the music, John, and RIP.

Very sad - I remember buying the theme from the Persuaders in the 70's - loved it.

Yep, such a very sad loss. He was an epic film music composer.
