| Hey, I don't know if this thread has been already created or not. I'm sorry if it was, I didn't see it anywhere, and I love this kind of threads. As you can imagine, you just have to rank the songs from TSSK from best to worst. I'll begin. (If you wanna put the bonus track c'mon, and if you don't want to, it's ok too). One Day Like This Grounds For Divorce The Bones Of You Weather To Fly Mirrorball Starlings Friend Of Ours We're Away The Loneliness Of A Tower Crane Driver An Audience With The Pope Some Riot The Fix All the songs are very good, but The Fix... I don't know, I have never really listened to it, but I don't really want to... | |

| for me, Bones Of You is the stand out track of the album...
i've heard it that often since that i've bored myself of the rest and couldnt decide between any of them... although id put one day like this at the bottom as it suffers badly from over exposure for me... i'm really *not* looking forward to the newcastle arena date when they play it and all the plastic fans go mental... :-/

| If they play it as last song, you could leave the room as it starts up, if you just can't bare that again...thats what I ended up doing the last few gigs of TSSK tour. I'd personally prefer 'Grace...' brought back, if the forthcoming album hasn't got that formula song for the tour, or to go to arena town on the likes of, maybe? 'Weather to Fly' instead. | |

'Weather to Fly' instead. just melancholic today... :-) would never leave early, only ever done that at an ian brown gig because he lost the plot vocally, was like an x-factor audition in the end. will grin & bear it! :-) cracking idea that to finish on grace ("cast of" is my current album of choice)... should get local forum members on stage in fancy dress ala glasto...

| Mmm, well, as most people on here already know, Weather to Fly is my absolute favourite, but anyway, here goes:
Weather to Fly Tower Crane Driver Friend of Ours Bones of You Starlings Mirrorball We're Away Grounds for Divorce Some Riot The Fix One Day Like This Audience with the Pope
I'd love to see 'Grace' back as the gig-closer as well but I have a feeling that with stadium gigs it's going to be One Day Like This every time. I did enjoy Scattered Black and Whites though!

| Regarding set closers from the material already released, I'm gonna go against the majority and say, if it came between 'Grace' and 'ODLT' it's always gonna be the latter - 'Grace' is great, love it, but it's no 'ODLT'.
However, my IDEAL choice would be 'Forget Myself'.

| My preferences are thus:
Friends Of Ours Some Riot The Loneliness Of A Tower Crane Driver Grounds For Divorce Starlings Weather To Fly One Day Like This Bones Of You Mirrorball The Fix Were Away Audience With The Pope
And as for the forthcoming shows, I'll put money on the big finish not being "Audience With The Pope"!

| I haven't worked out a rank yet, but I'm astonished that AAWTP consistently finishes so poorly. Probably in top 3 for me. | |

| Best to worst:
1. Friend of Ours 2. Weather to Fly 3. The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver 4. Mirrorball 5. The Bones of You 6. Some Riot 7. One Day Like This 8. Grounds for Divorce 9. Starlings 10. The Fix 11. An Audience With the Pope
Adore the album, but the last two songs are the only sign that even suggests "filler" - OK, but not as good as Elbow can be.
Starlings would be way up there if it were not for those horn blasts. I get what they mean in a thematic sense, but they ruin the song for me. Beautiful song, lyrically, and musically, otherwise, though.
